Not impressed. My main takeaway from our visit was that they do not know the first thing about being courteous or welcoming. The man behind the counter on Wednesday afternoon seemed bothered that we had a question for him. It was very obvious he wanted us to know how annoyed he was. We had heard him speaking to one customer constantly for the past 10 minutes, having a normal conversation, so we know he was capable of speaking respectfully but he chose not to with us. No idea why our inquiry about the new Littlest Pet Shop line was such a bother. Also, it's odd that a toy store isn't familiar with this line of toys or with the brand "Basic Fun". We're brand new to the area, and can already tell there are some folks out here who live under a rock. Hoping to find other toy and hobby stores (or maybe we should open our own!).

This place is awesome! I work at the base M-F and go home on the weekends, it's nice to have a place like this when I'm away from home. Games and gaming accessories, toys, comics, models- this place is my Nerdvana! Friendly and knowledgeable staff too. They also have game rooms, which if I had the time, I'd join in on a little D&D or Warhammer. I visit every week when I come to town and recommend this place to everyone!

This is just one of the coolest stores ever.Yah, it has an old-times feel, but the stuff inside are new and contemporary. there's a small play area for little kids. they have many types of toys, including educational toys. there's a whole section of comic books and many playing cards. they have a room for game nights. the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. spent there over two hours, until each kids chose what they want to get. prices are reasonable. it's on the main street, so easy access and parking. wish there were more stores like this.If you're staying at ridgecrest, or passing by - definitely stop here. If you have kids, or getting gifts, or just feeling young at heart - you'll find here something!

This is the ONLY thing resembling a comic shop in Ridgecrest without having to hop in the truck and take a multiple-hour-long drive southbound. They're making due with what little they've got. The sign for this place is painted above the door with a rather corny-looking wizard waving his magic wand at the name. On entering you notice all the children's toys all over the place. There are puppets, children's books, dolls, stuffed animals, building toys, and so on all over the entrance. It's not what you expect when you see Spiderman posters in the window. As you head toward the back, the shelf items become more gamer-oriented (board games, cards, etc). You can see long-haired guys playing Magic the Gathering in a back room. It's when you get to the very back, to a small room that's almost an alcove, that you find the comics, graphic novels, figures, manga, and so on. Back issues, most of which not bagged and boarded, fill a handful of long boxes along the floor. Rotating wire racks were filled with the newer comics with signs demanding that you "DO NOT BEND" them. Unfortunately, those racks combined with gravity tend to be hell on comic spines to begin with, and most of the comics I saw were indeed bent. It's not a particularly great comics resource, but it seems like it's the only real geek annex in town, even if they probably need to stay afloat by catering to little kids looking for a blue jay sock puppet.

This is a great little toy store in Ridgecrest, with a nice selection of toys, models, hobbies, and games in a town that really has no other. Prices are reasonable and they have a bit of everything for all age ranges, including both basic standards and more thoughtful or imaginative and good-quality toys and games.

As the only place in town that is a getaway for nerdy people who love board games I love this place. However in today's visit I was disappointed (so what would have been a five star review is a two star). Upon entry the lady seemed to be arguing with someone and her first words to us were "can I help you find something?". It was extremely off putting in her snarky tone and immediately made my mood go from "hmm, what should I purchase" to "nope, don't need anything". I do not reward poor customer service. Sorry. Hopefully it will be better again on our next visit. The lady appeared to be new (she wasn't here any other previous visit and we very occasionally visit). Not the kind older lady or gentleman who are usually there. I was sad they were not there, they are awesome.

Great Customer service. Joe showed us everything we were curious about, and they have an abundence of pokemon, gundam, magic the gathering, etc. Was glad to spend our money there, and everything was surprisingly low priced compared to all the other major retailers. 5 stars, would come again. Thanks for making our experience great, Joe!
