Jun BBQ

I've been stalking Jun BBQ on Haggin Oaks Market via Instagram and been wanting to try it. Finally I did and I was pretty satisfied. Their dumplings are great especially the soup dumpling. You can tell they are freshly made. I love their potstickers the most (which is reminiscent of Great Castle's version). Bao buns are also yummy (and big enough to share). He also delivers at no charge which is a plus since I was home bound during the time I ordered from them. I've ordered from them a couple times and have yet to be disappointed. I forget to take pictures of the food to post because it gets devoured right away while it's hot

Good dim sum is so hard to come by. Who knew I'd find it at a farmer's market in Bakersfield? They had all the good stuff: xiao long bao (soup dumplings), shu mai, bbq pork bun, har gow, chicken sticky rice, gyoza, egg custard bun. I went around 1:30pm (the farmer's market closes at 2pm) so they were limited on what they still had left. I was able to try the shu mai and they were perfect! They were shrimp and pork and came with a spicy dipping sauce. I hope I can go back to get some more!

Always amazing! Repeat customer and have not been disappointed. I doubt that's even possible! Their flavor is so good. 100/10 would kill it in Bakersfield if they hade a restaurant location

I found this place at the farmers market and my friends and I tried almost the whole menu in one day lol.. ordering one order of almost everything ended up being SO MUCH FOOD because the servings are HUGE, but we aren't complaining! Everything was sooooo flavorful and unique.. it was delicious!The day we went, the wind was really picking up and the farmers market got shut down, but the workers overheard us squealing with excitement at finding a dim sum in town, and decided to take our order anyways.. the staff literally stood on the corners of the tent and held it down until our food was cooked instead of turning us away.. if that's not phenomenal customer service, idk what is lolAnyways, 10/10... check it out.. it's delightful!

This place has legit dumplings. It is a food truck or food stand. We ordered the shu mai, shrimp dumplings, and bbq pork buns. All over the dumplings were delicious. They were handmade and tasted warm and delightful. I will be back to grab some more dumplings to go soon.

Went to the F. Street Farmer's Market and was craving dim sum! I ordered the soup dumplings. Came with 2 dipping sauces (soy sauce based & chili). The soup dumplings were so FLAVORFUL and delicious. The broth in the dumplings was delicious! Will be back!

I'm a normal visitor to the Haggins Oak farmers market and was pleasantly surprised to find this booth this weekend. They had a decent menu of options.I decided to try the soup dumplings and the egg custard buns.8 dumplings for 15. Good flavor of the soup and plenty of meat filling. The egg custard buns were piping hot. The bao itself was soft and pillowy and the filling nice and creamy.I look forward to trying some other items next time but nice to get some dim sum in Bakersfield!

Update as of 11/3/2023. I went back again to get my Dim Sum craving. This time we tried the Chicken feet (Feng Zhao / Foang Zao). It wasssss amazingg at first bite, it was tender it had great marinade to it. It was a bit softer than most places that we've had it before, but great soft and it was still on point to satisfy anyone that usually gets this from Dim Sum restaurants. We also got the Spare Ribs with the black bean sauce and was delicious. They used potatoes instead of daikon. The sweet Bao was filled with the egg custard, but it was not to my liking as it was kind of gritty, but the wife approved.I had forgot to mentioned that I was happy to know they steam all of the food to order, the legit way with the bamboo steam basket. As of note after getting a few message about this place. I found them located at the farmers market there is held during the weekend in the parking lot of the recreational center.

Such a tasty treat to enjoy while you are strolling the Haggin Oaks Farmers Market on Sundays. I really enjoy everything they have to offer. Staff is friendly and so helpful! They will break down the whole menu if needed. I would recommend the lamb or beef skewers, soup dumplings, and pot stickers. Don't be shy with the sauces either it really takes the flavor to the next level.
