Our family still goes to this office. It's clean and usually all the front office staff is nice. But the real reason we love this place is Hunter! He helps you order your glasses and when you pick them up he makes sure they fit right. He is funny, he remembers you when you come in. I think he looks just like Ashton Kutcher. But I have also heard he looks like Clark Kent. Lol whichever it is it's good! The place wouldn't be the same without him.

I would not recommend bringing small children here. The OD's manner is not suited for small children. I added a star because the optician was excellent.

Dr. Fagan and his star are absolutely wonderful! Dr. Fagan is extremely kind, patient, knowledgeable, and state of the art. His staff is helpful, caring, and gracious. They all go out of their way to give you the best possible service that they can. We're very blessed to have Dr. Fagan and his staff in our town. I highly recommend them and am grateful for their service.

They are not local to me, but I needed an eye doctor .... From their phone call to an actual visit, I was pleased with how the staff made me feel so comfortable...I took my son there for a visit and since I was pleased on how his appointment went, I decided to go again but now as myself as a patient (along with my husband). I didn't get to meet Dr. Fagan when my son had his visit, but when it was time for my eye exam, I was amazed at how soft and well spoken the doctor was. He was very personable and easy to ask questions to. Being in Tehachapi, so far, has been pleasant! And to add on to making an appointment at a place not local to me, I can say that Dr. Fagan and his staff have made it welcoming. Thank you!

Staff was helpful. Had to go there last April to get my 11 year old son glasses. Dr Fagan was friendly. Had to go back today because my daughter broke my son's frames. They had put his lens on new frames and we were out the door in ten minutes with his fixed glasses.

My family has been going here for several years. We've always had good service... and only once (out of a dozen+ trips) has there been a problem... and that was one of the front desk people being cranky. Guess she had a bad day. Overall, the doctors have been great. The person we've dealt with most, Tina, is wonderful. Their office takes a lot of insurances.

My experience with Dr. Fagan was good. The front desk was OK not too friendly but not rude. Once I got to the room the Dr Assistants were so sweet and helpful. Dr. Fagan was great, he figured out what the problem was that originally brought me in to the office. I'd go back again.

Dr.Fagan got my prescription for contacts wrong twice. Now I'm out the cost of the contacts and still can"t see as good as I should be able to. Guess I'll have to go back to costco. Would recommend you stay clear of this doctor. He doesn't even deserve a star.

I'd like to give zero stars, but one star is justified, I guess, because the office staff is very nice.Dr. Fagan, not so much. I still don't know why, but I had trouble with one of my eyes on one of the vision tests that day. Tired, maybe. Dr. Fagan asked if any I had ever had any concern with glaucoma, despite my eye pressures being just fine. I told him no, it had been checked several times, but I've always gotten an all clear. He had me re-take the test (the one with the bouncing light in the sphere) and I blew it again with that eye. As I was sitting in the exam room, waiting to hear the results, he stormed in and angrily demanded to know why I was in denial about my glaucoma! I calmed him down (why should I have to do that???) so we could talk about the results. He also showed me the photo of my retina and told me there was bleeding from the optical nerve in the "bad" eye. That does NOT sound good!He referred me to an ophthalmologist in Bakersfield for follow up. After leaving the office I checked out the doctor in Bakersfield, and was NOT impressed. They were clearly more interested in doing cosmetic laser surgery and LASIK than in any actual medical eye care. That's all the website talked about. So I selected another doctor in Lancaster, where I explained why I was there. They did a complete exam, and surprise! No glaucoma. When I mentioned the "bleeding", the doctor looked puzzled, and reexamined both the retina photo she took, and the one Fagan's office had taken. She looked both over carefully, and we even more puzzled. She couldn't understand why he thought I had any bleeding. She said my eyes are just fine.Oh, by the way, I decided to get my glasses from someone else here in Tehachapi (Dr. Robison, because my wife went there and was happy, and I didn't want to drive to Lancaster any more than I have to), and so I really had THREE exams, and you'll never guess! Yes, the THIRD doctor ALSO said my eyes are fine!So now I have new glasses from someone else, and I sure will NOT be going back to Fagan! So thanks, Dr. Fagan, for the unnecessary stress about my non-existent bleeding optical nerve and my non-existent glaucoma and the expense of a compleltey unnecessary trip to Lancaster and another exam to check out my healthy eyes.

I took my daughter to his office a few years back. He was one of the most unkind, rude and entitled Drs I have ever seen. He lacked compassion and understanding towards my daughter during her exam, she has severe ADHD and was laughing, he became so impatient with her fidgets instead of working with her as all her other Drs have. If you can't find patience when it comes to special needs children, you shouldn't be able to provide medical care period. His staff was phenomenal with my daughter so that's where the one star comes in.
