Andre at the Visalia, CA store provided outstanding service to me over the phone. I was trying to help a friend who lives in Austin, TX who was searching for a particular fabric that wasn't available to her locally. So she asked her Facebook friends around the country to check with their own local stores. I called and happened to get Andre, who searched for it (with the Item # my friend provided) and found nothing immediately. But then he said, if I can put you on hold for a minute or two there's another computer I can check. When he came back on, he gave me the names, phone #'s, and yardage available at five stores one each in VT, NY, GA, WI, & MN! I shared the info with my friend and she's going to pay at her local store which is where the Vermont store will be shipping the fabric. Again, kudos to Andre and to Joann's for exceptional service. They are kind of bare with their stuff but they were really good about exchanging yarn I bought online.

Everything I go to Jo-ann, every one is always helpful. Frances, one of the sewing teachers is the best. I took a sewing class with her to make cozy pants. I went with family who have had some experience sewing when I on the other hand had no experience when it came to sewing. From the second we enter the class teacher Frances all made us feel comfortable. I made plenty of rookie mistakes and stupid mistakes. Frances never once lost patients or hope with me. She took every mistake I made and turned it into a learning experiance. We learned soo much from her. She explained things in great detail and was very patient. Frances is a wonderful teacher and is very passionate about sewing. At times I wanted to give up and she always encouraged me to relax and not to give up. So if you take a class make sure to get Frances!
