Came in for the lunch specials a few days ago. I had the bento spicy chicken box and a salmon roll. The small beers were 4 bucks. Our service was good and the food was great. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is our favorite Sushi in Bakersfield. The staff is great, friendly and very nice. We have never had a problem with the sushi. Always fresh and cold. Miso soup and salad are amazing! They usually have sports on the big screen TV, which I love! The waitress always hooks us up with extra ginger and wasabi. Thanks! Try it out!

I haven't taken the time to write a review in a while, but our experience today at Jin Sushi was so amazing I had to! Our server Baylee was phenomenal! My husband has celiac and has never been able to try sushi because of it but Baylee went above and beyond to help us customize a few rolls so he could enjoy sushi with me today! She read ingredients, talked to the cooks and came back to us several times to make sure his meal was safe! I can count on one hand the amount of servers or even managers that have ever been willing to do that so it was a total shock to us! We appreciate you Baylee!!! The food was SO good but honestly she is the reason we are already planning on coming back!!

This place never disappoints I love taking my kids here to enjoy some fresh sushi and katsu. This is our go-to sushi place every single time. The service is constant in both locations. They're kind, attentive, quick to respond, and VERY hospitable. We visited after school hours, so we enjoyed the quiet, calm, cool atmosphere... people started pouring in around 5pm. Everything about this restaurant was nice. From the ambiance, the service, the food, and cleanliness, this establishment deserves a 5-star rating. My family and I normally go to Hi Sushi for our quick and easy sushi needs. But we decided to come to Jin Sushi since my brother was in town and wanted something a little more "restaurant-like." The food portions were also pretty big! All the rolls tasted amazing and my youngest was having a blast eating all the sushi we ordered. We will definitely be coming back again soon!

I'm something of a sushi snob. My (unfair) expectations for sushi is of Tokyo quality, and although I live in Bakersfield, when I have a taste for sushi, my first thought is of Little Tokyo in LA (usually Sushi Gen). But when I eat sushi in Bakersfield, Jin Sushi is the only place I visit. Fish quality is important to me, and I've always found the fish to be of high quality here. I especially like their toro and uni. They make fancy rolls with the flavorful sauces as well as anyone, but nigiri is what earns a sushi restaurant its stars in my mind, and for this they get top marks.I've also noticed the sushi chefs are skilled here, and the turnover rate is pretty low. FYI: This isn't typical! Sushi chef turnover is often high at many sushi restaurants! So the fish quality and chef retention makes me feel like I can really trust this place.And the service is high quality. The servers are friendly & responsive. I've been here for short lunches and long dinners, and I've never felt like I'm waiting for a bill or being pushed out the door.
