Jeje’s Kitchen

Had the pleasure of meeting Jeje and her sister(mother ). They are an absolute delight. The food was delicious! We ordered two beef kabobs plates and man oh man was it all packed with flavor! The rice had a hint of cardamon and either saffron or turmeric. It was very good. The side salad was a Greek type salad with lettuce and vinegar and was very refreshing and tasty. The tahini and garlic sauce were onnn point and complimented the food perfectly. Jeje even gave us a little side of pomegranate molasses sauce while we were eating and it was such a nice little addition to the kebab. The place is inside of the chevron so it's a little hidden but maps will take you straight there. Inside seating is limited to 1 table 4 chairs but it's not a big deal to stand and eat or just sit outside on the sidewalk. Restroom is very clean inside the gas station. If your driving by and your hungry definitely stop by this place is great and the employees are all kind. Gas station clerk was chill AF as well.

It's a bit pricy but it's better than Flame and Skewer. I was a bit disappointed because it was my first time there and they offered for me to try their Ribeye Plate, which I was excited to try, then they tell me that they don't have ribeye. So, I got the beef kabob, which was good. I was just disappointed that they didn't give me my pita bread that was supposed to be included and I had even asked for it. But overall it was good taste wise. Maybe I'll go back to try the Ribeye and hopefully get my pita bread

Wow, what a find! It was one the best kabobs that I've ever had. There's been more and more food gems popping up in gas stations. This one of them. We stumbled upon it while passing through. The nearby Tesla charging station and the gas station housing Jeje's make it a must stop to refuel the car and body. The chef (owner) was gracious and clearly proud to serve his food--and for good reason.It would be great to see a few more seats inside but we happily sat in our car and enjoyed the delicious meal. One other testament of the quality is we woke up the next morning still raving about our dinner.

Awesome food and great service. A definite must try in Bakersfield. Food was incredibly fresh and flavorful.Chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked, salad was fresh, and hummus was delightful. Definitely opt in for the Tahini.

Delicious food with the nicest owner ever! It's inside the Chevron in an unassuming plaza. Ordered the falafel plate and beef sharawama bowl. The owner made the falafel fresh and it was so good -- one of the best falafels I've had in awhile. It's a one-man show so it takes a little awhile to order and get your food but trust the food is bomb with big portions.

This is definitely a hidden gem in Bakersfield and when I say it's hidden It's even inside the chevron gas station. This is my first time trying their food and I'll definitely be back. I ordered the falafel wrap and my husband got the beef kebab wrap. The order is made fresh to order right in front of you, they pack the ingredients which I appreciate and the serving is plentiful. It was delicious, and fresh. I've tried falafel before and it can be dry but this was not dry. Staff was very welcoming, willing to give suggestions and location was clean and service didn't take a long time. The atmosphere and staff were welcoming. We did bring it back home and it was still warm when we arrived. Highly recommend

Jeje's Kitchen is a hidden gem that absolutely blew me away! The moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the family who owns the place. Their kindness and hospitality made me feel like I was visiting old friends rather than a restaurant. They immediately offered me a sample of their food, and it was love at first bite.As I was deciding what to order, the owner suggested creating two plates for my family, filled with a variety of their specialties. Let me tell you, every single dish was bursting with flavor and made with obvious care and passion. The shawarma was tender and perfectly spiced, the kebab plate was a masterpiece, and even the Philly cheesesteak had a unique Mediterranean twist that was incredible.What truly sets Jeje's Kitchen apart is the family itself. You can feel the pride they have in their food and the joy they take in sharing it with others. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a heartfelt experience. If you're looking for authentic, delicious food served by some of the kindest people you'll ever meet, look no further than Jeje's Kitchen. I can't wait to come back!

I feel like I'm witnessing a culinary star in the making. They opened five months ago inside a gas station and are serving incredible smooth hummus and fluffy falafel. Super nice owner too. If this place was in LA I'd be a regular

Tasty and friendly. I had the chicken shwarma wrap and hummus. They were full of flavor... the wrap is grilled and had a touch of heat and grilled veggies. I could take a little more heat, but I bet that is something I could ask for next time and that my request would be accomodated.This grill is located at the InstaStop Chevron station across from Costco and is a nice alternative for a quick, freshly prepared meal. The ambiance is tidy and clean with a nice selection of snacks and beverages. I will be back!

Absolutely phenomenal. Im not from the area but love mediterranean and saw this place pop up near the hotel. Walked over and found that its in a gas station, granted, Jeje the owner just opened in 2024. Told me it would take a few minutes, and rightfully so! Food was 11/10 awesome awesome! Owner was the one making the food and super friendly and helpful and thoughtful. Get this man some business! He deserves it!
