Jasmine is a quaint local Thai restaurant that is larger than it looks from the street. As with many downtown restaurants the parking is very limited. Be prepared to drive around the block a few times for a spot to open up. My server was prompt & polite. They have a fairly extensive menu. It's rainy out today and I wanted something warm & comforting so I ordered a Seafood Pho. The broth is delicious. The Pho contains mussels, octopus, calamari, scallops & shrimp, Topped with a sprinkling of white pepper & cilantro.It's February now, but it appears that they have covered outdoor seating on Chester during warm weather. They have daily lunch specials for $12.95 from 1:00-3:00 Monday-Friday.

We came across this place by chance. After other restaurant closed while we were waiting for a table. We had to find some place that was open late. We found Jasmine. We were pleasantly surprised super nice employees. Great service food came quickly. My daughter and I both said the flavor of the good was probably the best we have had in Bakersfield. This is a hidden gem downtown. They have Thai and Vietnamese food. It's a must try. We will go back for sure.

I love walking into this place! It's full of culture and really doesn't feel like it's in Bakersfield. Depending on when you go there's bustling all around with the cooking! Nothing too loud so you can carry out a conversation. There is an extensive menu but they all have their lunch specials they run! They're all around the wall so I advise you to look around. I think the prices are fair for the authentic taste. Their Thai tea is one of my top favorites in town. Love love love. Also you are able to call to order out.

Great lunch spot! I would dare to say is the most authentic Thai food in town, also run by a Thai family. It gets busy during the week, especially at lunchtime so you better get there early! I usually get the lunch special which is very reasonably priced for the amount and quality of food plus you get a drink. The ambiance is pretty chill, not loud. The service is very nice, polite and attentive.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Jasmine when I've been here a number of times! Well, I would hope most of Bakersfield has been here - if not, what are you waiting for?! Jasmine is such a stable Thai restaurant and always gives the best service. Their food never disappoints! I've tried a multitude of the menu and none of them is below a 5/5. I usually get their yellow curry and pad thai but this time, instead of pad thai, I got the garlic pepper lunch special which was so so good. Craving it as I write this review! P.S. you get a free thai tea or tea whenever you order during their lunch special hours!

One of my favorite places to eat in Bakersfield! The food is amazing, and portions are great. The food is not too pricey and they always have good deals going on for lunch and dinner. The waitresses are some of the nicest people, and the service is quick! I never have to wait long for my order to be taken or for my food to arrive, even when it's busy.
