Jon is the best in town! Great with the students! He is here to make them the best they can be. Great prices per a month and private training. You won't find traditional Karate anywhere else for such a great price! We have been coming here since 2019.

Sensi Cobb is amazing!! Went to Go$&÷n Tiger first but seemed like more of a daycare instead of actual dojo. My daughter was bullied in TK in Fruitvale District. We were looking for her to defend herself if scenario were to happen again. He instills discipline, confidence and responsibility. A++ for heart, discipline and dedication...my 5 year old daughter wants to take more than one class in a day! Thank you Mr. COBB!

After looking for a martial arts program for my 6 year old son , we finished our search with Japan martial arts academy and sensei John Cobb is amazing!! Many years of experience . There's discipline organization balance encouragement and expertise! The results are great! My son loves it! The kids love it there and go almost everyday of the week!! So blessed to have found it! Not a bad word from any of the parents about it! And believe me I asked!! They do tournaments, they do official testing for "belt " advancement! Must try it out!

If you are looking for a Martial Arts class to put your kids in or for yourself I highly recommend this one right here. We ended up here on chance and feel so blessed that we chose this one over another place. Sensei Jon Cobbs is dedicated and you can tell he loves and is passionate about what he does. He not only teaches you great technique but also teaches you life lessons. If you're in doubt try it out, you'll be glad you did.

I'm so extraordinarily grateful my grandson started taking classes here. The atmosphere is welcoming. The environment is clean. Sensi Cobb is truly amazing (he gives talks about positive self-image, safety, awareness, practice, perseverance, and living your best life). He has this amazing way of having seasoned students assist the newbies; this is great because kids learn best from kids and it ensures all new people feel welcome and included. Sensi Cobb is tough in that each student must earn each accomplishment, but at the same time, he is generous with kindness, encouragement, and accolades when someone does something right. I'm super happy because my other grandchildren decided to take classes and join their brother. I can't think of a better way for them to live their best life.

Love this place- the owner is very kind and patient with the students from every level and age group. Great first experience for our children learning karate.
