Jack's Place

Great spot for breakfast. We rode our motorcycles here for New Year's Day, and food did not disappoint !!! Deeelish !!! I appreciate when I change up the order and they still treat me good :)

We unfortunately just missed breakfast. Too bad because the food looked good for breakfast. Service was great. I'm sorry I didn't catch our waitress's name. She had short blond hair and was really knowledgeable of the menu. It seems they change up their menu a bit here and there since I noticed the current menu looked different from the ones already posted on Yelp. I got the southwest turkey melt. It had a little kick and it was good, but for me had too much turkey. I think they could thin it down a little. It would even out the flavor overall. I was going to go with 4 stars since I thought my melt was good but not great. But I thought about it more and I have to say the excellent service had to bump the rating up. The fries were great. Made to perfection! One of the best I've had at restaurants. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and salted just right. Atmosphere was good. Restroom was really cute and felt extremely clean.

Always a good meal. Friendly staff, good portions...my wife and kids love going to eat here. Very small town vibes and a good variety of menu items. Don't sleep on their pizza, it is very good.

Every year we go cherry picking in Leona Valley and finally after passing by this place for many times we decided to stop by for lunch. Indoor seating was ideal for us because it was a hot day but they also have tables outside. As a foodie from Lo Angeles that has over 1500 Yelp reviews I wasn't too sure if the food would be good here but I agreed to give it a try. To my surprise the burgers were amazing and the Reuben was one of the best I ever had. The only thing we didn't like was the fries. Very dry and overcooked no taste. Maybe it was a bad batch. The service stated slow and unfriendly but it got better once our waiter acknowledged us and took our order. He was friendly and attentive. This kind of service is expected from small town restaurants so I won't take any stars away from my review. The food was good, the ambiance was good and they serve great local beer from Lucky Luke Brewing... Overall a great experience and we will definitely come back next summer after our annual cherry picking.

Jack's is probably my favorite place in the AV.But not for breakfast last week.The sausage and eggs were fine, but the pancakes - which are a rare treat for me - were a huge disappointment. I could barely cut them with a fork, they were so tough and flat.Really? Where were the "fluffy pancakes" described on the menu? I regret not sending them back.

This place was not worth the drive. So many people raved but we were let down. The food was whatever and didn't taste like much.

I had dinner here last night. I've been several times before and Jack's Place has become a favorite for me and my friends. Tonight I finally tried the pizza. It was great! I ordered the bbq chicken pizza and the crust was perfect! I really enjoyed it! I highly recommend the fish and chips, their soups of the day, and any of their daily specials. The desserts are superb as well, especially the peanut butter pie! To die for! Service is always good and consistent. The atmosphere is small town, cozy, and friendly. Jack's Place is well worth the drive if it's a little far for you. Trust me you won't be disappointed!

I hate to update my review but the last couple of times I have been here the food has not been good. Had a recent breakfast with tasteless eggs, stale sourdough toast and over cooked hash browns. The price 23 dollars. It is so hard to find a decent breakfast place in the AV anymore. I either have to drive to Tehachapi or further up 138.

This place has really good breakfast. They have really great customer service. Their staff is really nice, friendly, and helpful. Really good people working there. The quality of their food is really great. I recommend the chicken sandwich, French toast, jack attack, and the pizza.
