Love this hidden gem. Comfort food and smiling faces. Chicken and waffles for me. Large portions, lots of coffee!

I was in Tehachapi traveling for work last week. I like to patronize local businesses while on the road. Honestly the food here was awful and the service wasn't much better. It took a really long time to get my order (it wasn't busy) and the burger was waaay overcooked. Skip this spot. Henry's Cafe & Jake's had MUCH better food and service.

Wow, absolutely the best breakfast place around. The staff was beyond amazing, service, epic, and the food unbelievable. The pricing was insane compared to how much food you get. This is definitely our new favorite breakfast spot. Love love love it. and the best part is, we got to see Santa Claus today.

We have lived in Tehachapi for two years. It's been our mission - having lived in Ventura - to try all the restaurants in our new hometown. There have been a lot of negative reviews about our very very favorite breakfast restaurant, J's recently which seem to be politically motivated. Make no mistake: the owners and their family make the food from scratch. The portions are more than generous, food is fresh and the quality is top notch. As an extra added bonus, the staff is friendly and accommodating. We will return again and again AND we love the American flag, country music and all things Americana!

FOOD was amazing, pancakes were sooo delicious. Super fluffy and great portion. Everything is so yummy. The staff is very attentive, definitely coming back :) The burger was sooo juicy and delicious.

Everything was outstanding as usual. Great breakfast with great service. It was a little busy but we got a nice booth to sit in. Fresh coffee and orange juice. We are always returning customers. Good old fashioned cooking.

Service is awful and food subpar. Everything microwaved fresh and bland. The smothered steak was clearly out of a frozen meal and the vegetables were cooked so long they turned to Mush.

What a great find! Recommended to me by a friend, I stopped by and glad I did. Excellent food and a lot of it too! The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. Our server was so personable and made sure we had everything we needed. I can't recommend this spot enough. It's a true gem and a must-visit!

DON'T GO HERE! If you are on a diet, anyway. They serve a LOT of food, and it's good!Service was great, the place was clean (even the bathroom). I didn't really care for my burger because it was cooked with black pepper, and I don't like black pepper, but everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their food and our time there. The onion rings were good.They even know how to cook hash browns! They are actually brown, instead of just being warmed, like most restaurant.

Our waitress was the sweetest lady. Me and my boyfriend both got meals. I had the homemade biscuits and gravy, and oh wow it's all homemade! So amazing. Also the hashbrowns on the side were thick and delicious. My boyfriend got the waffle combo with bacon and home fries. He was so so pleased. This place was so good and we will definitely be retuning very soon!!
