My first time here, did not enjoy the food , service , or attitude of the staff. To start off -the order was taken after waiting for almost 15 mins, the food ordered was not completely executed on time .. we had to repeatedly wait and keep following up for the other part of our order, upon questioning the staff impolitely answered that her job is only to take the order and execution on time is not her look out. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL !!! They also charge for the water they serve which was quiet a surprise ..Taste of food was very average !Won't ever come back to this place

I will always support a vegetarian restaurant. The food was good, but definitely not the most tasty Indian food we've ever had. I would not give less than 5 stars because it was delicious, but if you're an Indian food fanatic, you'll know what I mean. Regardless, the strawberry shake was absolutely fresh and delicious! The breads were so thick and filling. The restaurant itself is a casual feeling. The service, although provided with somber faces, was still very attentive. Overall, great experience and would definitely return.

Stopped here when driving through Bakersfield looking for vegetarian restaurants. We shared the chickpea wrap, gobi masala, garlic naan, and gobi parantha. The food was good, and we would come back, with one caveat. I would've given it 4 stars, but when I paid with my credit card, the screen gave me tip options of 15, 18, 20... normal stuff, right? When I looked at my receipt, those were dollars instead of the standard percentage. So we left a 50% tip. My bad for not paying attention to the fact that it was dollars and not percents, but I have literally never seen that anywhere, it's always percent. Like why would I tip $20 on a $30 total? Lol.

We found this great Indian vegetarian restaurant on our way down from Yosemite to LA. Fabulous Batura+Cholay and stuffed potato paratha were excellent and the staff was very friendly and were able to keep the spice levels to our liking. Very roomy and clean place to have a sit down meal at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend this Bakersfield Indian restaurant.

A family-owned establishment in Bakersfield, Indian Village is an absolute must-stop. With many options on the menu, including main dishes, wraps, and various appetizers, the food is extremely fresh and flavorful! We tried the garlic naan, a few paneer dishes, and their malai kofta. All were amazing and we would definitely order it again -- it was so good that we dined here twice within a week! Definitely support this small business and their authentic flavors and hospitality!

We were on our way to death valley, we saw this restaurant and decided to stop and eat. Their Baingan bartha was the best baingan bartha I have had. Fresh out of the oven, smoky and did not contain excessive cream and extremely tasty. The rest of the dishes such as veggie kurma and malai kofta were just as goodOut experience was so good that we book marked it to have the food on the way back from death valley. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed because of a family event. We saw one kitchen staff inside, knocked on the door. They opened and served us knowing that we did not want to go anywhere else. The food was just that amazing. In the end the staff thanked us and we were the happiest bunch ever

I had dinner in Indian Village restaurant yesterday and I must say that this is the BEST Vegeterian ONLY Punjabi special restaurant that I enjoyed in the last several years in US1. I had Palak paneer and nan and this came with a salad. Palak paneer was tasty, hot, right level of spices and good quantity for 2 people. I hope they will maintain the quality and quantity. Nan was also equally good 2. Service is good and this restaurant is managed by two people 3. Cook came and spoke about how he has tried to use good ingredients to make a tasty dish. I will probably try again today with my daughter who is equally fond of good Vegeterian Punjabi restaurants4. Location is convenient and just 5 mins off 99HWY. Anyone driving to LA or Vegas can stop and enjoy a nice meal 5. Price is reasonable. 6. It will be nice if they have one Thali option with 2-3 vegetables ( smaller quantity) so that you can taste all the vegetables 7. Ambience is food and they serve their dishes in plates unlike Bay Area where every restaurant uses paper plate. Surprised that there are not many reviews on Yelp and I heard that this restaurant started in January 2024. I will give 5 star for sure. There was one more couple who had their dinner and they were also very happy with the food Anyone who wants to enjoy Vegeterian Punjabi restaurant should visit this place and encourage such establishments run profitable for longer period. We all know that there are many Vegeterian and Non Vegetarian restaurants but very few Vegeterian ONLY restaurants
