Iguanas is in the corner of this shopping center of White Lane and Ashe. If you need to put gas in before or after dinner, there's a Fasttrip in the same shopping center. We double dated last night around 8, and it was not busy at all, which surprised me. The place looked so clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Food and drinks were great!! I thought the salsa was too spicy, I couldn't even handle a chip full, which bummed me out cause I love chips and salsa. My spice tolerance is low. I always get the same combination plate at any mexican restaurant, cheese enchiladas, rice, and beans. There was nothing spectacular about my plate, but it was delicious. I ate my entire meal! The strawberry margarita with chamoy and tajin on the rim was delicious, I had two! My husband had the burrito that came with three different meats. It was huge!Would love to come again to this restaurant!

Kinda sad to see this place on the downturn. Used to be a great place. Interior was nice but dated. We were seated immediately which is always a plus and our waiter was friendly. Menu had lots of options so we were optimistic about our dinner. I ordered a tall beer on happy hour- great price and ice cold!! Every thing was going great until the food! Now the food wasn't horrible just wasn't good at all. My son's corn dog was way over cooked and felt old, chips and salsa was a little scary- our chips had weird white spots on them!!! My food came out and looked a little old and dry which was a little shocking as the restaurant was dead! Tasted ok but just not worth coming back as there is just too many really good Mexican food choices in town. My wife ordered an asada torta which was a great size and she actually liked it. Just a mixed bag here but with the food tasing not so fresh just makes it hard to come back, feel bad because the service was pretty good!

The service was so friendly! The people were very attentive. The walls had neat murals. Dark and dim lighting. There was a stench that smelled like urine when we were there. I had a cheese quesadilla that was standard and my mom had a cheese enchilada with beans and rice. My mom took one bite of the beans and spit it out because they were so hot, burned her mouth and when you actually looked the beans were bubbling with heat. We both had waters and the bill was $29.12 seemed a bit steep. So my stars were definitely for the excellent customer service

Tried Iguana's for the first time tonight and the food , service and dessert was all incredibly amazing. Had a Mango Margarita , Steak Fajitas and deep fried cheesecake that was to die for . Highly recommend as there was four of us and each had a different dish and everyone enjoyed their meal. Thank you to the staff for going above and beyond to make our dining experience fantastic.

We ordered for delivery. My husband got the fajitas and he said there was no seasoning, it had no flavor, the rice and beans were pretty good compared to others. I had steak Al ajo, the flavor wasn't bad but not a lot for what you pay for. It was delivered a lot sooner than what was expected. But they need to make sure that the plates that are suppose to come with tortillas, they send. There wasn't an option when I placed an order and there wasn't an option for sides. So I put in my notes what I wanted and only got 1 sour cream, no salsa and no tortillas!!

Oh my gosh. What a surprise. We just discovered this gem. Bakersfield has a hundred Mexican restaurants, and we have tried just about all of them. This one is hidden in the corner of White Lane and Ashe Rd so we never knew it was there. A friend referred us. We was pleasantly surprised to discover this is the best Mexican food in town. The service was amazing. The food was delicious. Authentic Mexican Food.
