Icing On the Cake Events

Three things:1. Three cheers (or should I say, tiers??) for Icing On the Cake! My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Ashley as our day-of coordinator for our wedding in June, and I can say without hesitation that one of the primary reasons everything went off without a hitch (well, minus US getting hitched!) was thanks to having Ashley and IOTC as part of our day.2. Ashley and IOTC offered us professionalism, wonderful help and insight, great communication, and just the best-ever attitude amidst my bridezilla-ness :) I felt ever-safe in Ashley's care - a notion that came to full light the day that she came with us to our final venue meeting when I really got to see her in action. Her calmness and her knowledge proved to be most spectacular assets in our final weeks, and we could not have done it without her!3. And on that note, we are also beyond grateful for the extent to which Ashley and IOTC went above and beyond for being "simply" our day-of coordinator! Thank you for being our ACTUAL five-month coordinator and bringing our wedding to life, from the big picture to the details! We toast your flexibility, your quick thinking, your feedback, and your genuine smile. And to come back to our presents, beautifully arranged in our hotel room at the end of our night, was the best treat in the world!

I worked with Icing On the Cake Events when Rebecca did our day of coordination for our wedding! She is so organized and GREAT with people, so both our guests and our vendors really liked working with her! We had quite a large wedding party to manage at the rehearsal dinner, and she did a terrific job of herding the many cats, as I like to call it. Most importantly, she is the sweetest spirit and really made me feel at ease as the bride. Her communication was great, with quick response times, just a text, call or email away if I had a detail to run past her. I knew she was taking care of everything, so I was able to relax and enjoy the day. Several people remarked that I seemed amazingly calm that day, so I know that this is in large part to the complete and total confidence I had in Rebecca :) Love her!!!

Rebecca is AMAZING!! I had her do my day-of-wedding coordination and she was such a pleasure to work with! She's from the south and has an adorable accent and is so incredibly friendly. The best part is that you can tell she really cares about your wedding day. I would have random questions, like ideas for my table numbers, and she'd be emailing me lots of different ideas. She was happy to do projects with me, did a walk through of the venue with me, was in contact with all my vendors, coordinated the rehearsal, and stayed from start to end on the day of! She made my day as a bride completely STRESS-FREE!! Shes also affordable compared to most planners out there!! I would recommend Rebecca to anyone who is interested in a planner! Looking back, there's no one else I would've chosen!

We hired Icing on the Cake Events to coordinate our wedding this past August. She was recomended by another vendor and Rebecca did an outstanding job! She was 100% worth it and not to mention, totally affordable! I started planning 6 months before, and even though we hired her just for the month of and the day of our wedding, the months before the wedding, she helped me through out my vendor's search and provided recomendations. The month of the wedding, she helped me plan the Rehersal dinner, the seating chart, provided templates for the menus and programs. She helped put our timeline toguether, she was on top of everything so I would not forget any details. The day of the wedding she brought us the lunch we had ordered so we didn't have to leave the hotel, she made sure the guests that had rooms in the hotel were all checked in, she made sure that the Ceremony site was set and ready. Rebecca directed and orchastrated the bridesmaids and the groomsman to the ceremony. She made sure that everything that needed to go from the ceremony to the reception was moved. Our reception ballroom was set just the way I envisioned and I didn't see it until we made our grand entrance! Everything was the set the way I requested.At the end of the night, everything that needed to go back to our room like the leftover cake, the cake cutter set, the left over wedding favors, the cardbox and presents, was in our suite thanks to Rebecca. We had an amazing wedding and for sure, we couldn've enjoy our Big day as we did if we had not hired a wedding coordinator.Rebecca is what her company is called, she truly is the "Icing on the Cake"!

With Rebecca coordinating our events, we knew we wouldn't have to worry about a thing. She pays attention to every little detail to make sure our event ran smoothly. She is not only very personable but also so professional you can't help but feel at ease letting her coordinate everything. We highly recommend her for your event and would use her services again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I could not have been happier with Rebecca. We hired her about 2 weeks into our engagement and formed a great working relationship over the following 15 months.Rebecca held us accountable throughout the process, communicating regularly via email to make sure we were crossing items off of our list, and making herself available on short notice through Skype when we needed to double-back and ask questions.Rebecca also scoured the globe to find us the perfect caterer and DJ, two finds that were invaluable to the overall feel and experience of our wedding. When we had hiccups with our venue manager, Rebecca was happy to work out any issues we had on our behalf. As much worrying we did about the day of in advance, Rebecca made sure that everything went off without a hitch, and made sure that any worries we had were put to rest. Wedding planning is a stressful event, so rest assured that hiring Rebecca is the best move you can make!

I can't recommend Stacey enough!!! We hired her for the partial package (worked with her for about 8 months) and it made planning our May 2015 backyard wedding enjoyable and beautiful! We received SO many compliments by vendors, family, and friends about how great she was to work with! Stacey is extremely organized, hard working, honest, genuinely concerned about carrying out your vision within your budget, and responds quickly to every question and concern! She worked SO hard to help us have the most beautiful and memorable day! Every vendor recommendation that Stacey provided us with was also amazing! I definitely can't say enough about Stacey and the service that she provides!!!

I used Icing on the Cake Event's Partial Planning Service and am very impressed and happy with the partial planning services of our wedding planner, Rebecca. Rebecca seriously is the best planner in the DC area. Rebecca is very knowledgeable about wedding planning, extremely professional, and will make sure that whatever needs to happen for your wedding will get done perfectly. Rebecca is someone that you would want to have working behind the scenes of your wedding if you want to be stress-free.We had an elegant, rustic, garden wedding in the DC area on a tight budget that was gorgeous and all of the guests raved about as one of the best weddings they have ever attended--Rebecca gets a lot credit for making this happen.We even had one of the vendors not arrive the day of the wedding because of a car accident and Rebecca made sure that everything went as planned regardless (my husband and I did not even learn of this vendor mishap until the honeymoon). We were able to enjoy our wedding and we did not have to worry about any of the details or problems on the day of the wedding.You really should hire Rebecca asap to plan your wedding. I searched and interviewed many planners in the DC area and no one came close to Rebecca's services. She has a great wedding style and I would not trust anyone else with such an important event. Rebecca truly loves planning weddings and it shows.

Stacey is AMAZING! Hiring her was one of the best wedding decisions I made. She's a complete sweetheart and she went above and beyond every step of the way. I hired her as a "month of" coordinator but she was always available to answer my questions. She's organized, always responds quickly, and she was honestly a life saver. She's very likable and easy to get along with which was so helpful because all of my vendors loved working with her. The month before the wedding she smoothed over so many potential disasters and half the time I didn't even know what was going on until everything was all fixed. Planning a wedding is stressful but having an amazing coordinator like Stacey makes a world of difference! I was incredibly happy about my decision to hire Stacey the whole time but the day of the wedding I realized just how priceless she was. She was seriously on point. Everything was perfect and I got to enjoy my day and not worry about a single thing because I knew she was taking care of it. I'm going to miss texting her! Thank you for everything Stacey! Highly highly recommend!
