Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - ordered the lunch option of the Tri-Tip Burrito and a Carne Asada Burrito. Not quite sure what the difference between the breakfast and lunch burritos are for the former though. The tri-tip burrito actually had chunks of tri-tips in it but unfortunately on the drier side. The carne asada was tender but definitely more Mexican food than BBQ. Generous portion though! Service: 5/5 - quick service and to the point.Ambiance: 4/5 - outdoor seating so expect outdoor things to be around. There are some plugs in the sheltered seating area if you need to charge. Value for price: 3/5 - cash only. The pricing was a bit odd as the tax was $4 on an order of $26 and they would not provide a receipt.

Decent Mexican food. Good beans and rice. Birria enchilada was solid. The porch seating faces the mountains which are nice to gaze on while eating.Service was not at all friendly. The address is correct but routing wants to take you up the hill 8 miles. The real restaurant is right on 395.

Stopped here on our way to Bishop for breakfast after hiking Mt. Whitney yesterday. I ordered a birra taco and it was packed with deliciously savory beef and my husband ordered a machaca burrito. The restaurant was nice and clean and we had a beautiful view of the Sierra. The food was served quickly and presented well. Definitely will be stopping here again when we are in the area.

I'm big on reviews so I gave it a go, we were hungry after a big run and Hugo's had a lot of positive comments. We stopped and honestly the food was not great, but we ate it because there was nothing else around. To top it off the service was not the best, cashier was rude and had no patience, even when asked what he recommended he nodded his head. About to pay he states cash only, maybe they should put that on the yelp/website. Luckily I had cash in the car. Overall wouldn't recommend drive up the 15 mins to Bishop for something worth it.

Came here because Coppers had a LOOOOONG line. I got the chirozo, egg and potato breakfast burrito and my husband got the tritip breakfast burrito. Nothing fancy, just what you would want breakfast burritos to taste like in my opinion. We both enjoyed it very much!! Service was quick and they also have bathrooms and shaded outdoor seating. They do only take cash or Zelle though. And chango, the chihuahua, did not disappoint! He was on the clock out back providing security :P. In the end, we were thankful we ended up here instead!

My boyfriends burrito had uncooked egg. I told him it was ok to still eat it.. and then he found a small curly hair. We both threw our burritos away after and I went to go throw up before I got sick. There are other reviews that people got sick.. boyfriends POV: musty guy took our order, upon eating most of my burrito, there was uncooked sausage and egg and unmelted cheese. Who the hell eats unmelted cheese.

If you're ever traveling through Big Pine on HWY 395 . Stop and say hi to Roger & Chango the Chihuahua. We stopped and ordered two breakfast burritos Machaca & Chorizo con papas and both were delicious and tasted exactly how they should nothing fancy not trying to throw a spin on them just both were authentic and delicious just they way they should taste (if you know you know ). Service was great Roger took our order wearing his Shell gas station shirt and sombrero and his dog Chango outside greeting guest while we waited. So stop by say hi and order your Breakfast Burritos . You won't be disappointed Hugo's place has clean tables to sit inside or outside and the restrooms are very clean.
