Maybe you are looking for a hot soak, a cool swim, or like me, you want a hot tub so hot with jets that beat the knots in your shoulders and back into submission. Even if you don't know what you are looking for, Dennis, Claudia & their family will help you find it. They are so patient, knowledgeable and down-to-earth. You might see them at the home show, the fair grounds, or like me - at Costco! But wherever you see them, be sure to chat them up about their products, you'll be glad that you did. I love their no-pressure sales approach and the considerable amount of knowledge they are willing to share. They have everything from smaller two or four person models, right on up to a large swim spa for the whole family! They even have models that can cool the water to around 60 degrees!And let's face it, with Bakersfield's summer heat, that could make for one refreshing dip! This makes a swim spa or hot tub a serious competitor when considering installing a built-in pool. With it being cooler than your pool and less cost and maintenance. We had our tub installed in November of 2023 and I have to say, it's awesome! The team at Hot Tubs Plus delivered, installed it and set it up. The process was pretty easy and with the model that we decided on, maintenance is a cinch. The saltwater system that we added on is fantastic and really helps with my sensitive skin. We love our new spa and it's been an amazing addition to our outdoor living space.

First off, I've had great service when we went into Hot Tubs Plus to make a purchase for parts. When it took months to get the parts, we had already paid for, we were wondering what was wrong. Finally once we received the parts we inquired about a service to have the parts installed, which they had us message them with picture to setup the work order. With an astronomical service fee of $150, which didn't go far, they ended up only getting a shawty 2/3 of the job done, for the less than 30 minute of work, to then be told it would be another $50 due to their mistakes to install a part we had already purchased and had ready for them to install. Next time don't ask for a text messages and pictures of what needs to be done and then not ask for clarification and set up some random not complete work order. I'm guessing we'll be finding a proper company, that doesn't charge an arm, a leg and a kidney, for services Hot Tubs Plus can't provide.

We have had a wonderful experience with Hot Tubs Plus. We purchased a Bullfrog hot tub via a Costco special event hosted by Hot Tubs Plus, and I don't know that we would have ever made the jump without Claudia and Dennis' help looking at where we would want it, and how we could get it there at a reasonable cost. Claudia helped us coordinate with someone to build a small deck to level it and multiple electricians to find the right one for us. Claudia kept us informed through every step when our tub would be manufactured and shipped. When it finally arrived, the install team was respectful of our property, quick to get it up and running, and very patient and thorough in showing us how to use and maintain it. We had a minor issue with a jet that required a repair and Claudia got it warrantied and had the repair team out to fix it within a week. We will continue to use Hot Tubs Plus for all future pool and spa needs.

There's always something very comforting to me about working with a family owned business and Hot Tubs Plus is the PERFECT example of why. Their customer service is absolutely unmatched. From the very beginning it never really felt like a sales pitch; no pressure, just a lot of great information to help us make a decision. We then experienced some electrical issues upon installation (not their fault.. ours for not using one of the people they work with often ) and they took such great care of us. Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole process seamless. Our hot tub is finally up & running, we are thrilled with it. Thanks guys!

They offer a discount on chemicals if you leave a review. And of course they ask to see your review. That's awkward. And it makes me wonder what the reviews would look like if there wasn't this bribe in place. (I actually think the reviews would still be quite good, but they'd be more honest & informative about things.) Even though I do like this shop, I find that policy to be quite disingenuous.I bought my hot tub here. I had visited one other place, but preferred the brand options here as well as the helpful advice from the owners (Dennis & Claudia). I also appreciate Dennis' knowledge that he willingly shared, as I knew nothing about hot tubs. He was patient as I walked around, climbed in & out of hot tubs, and asked him all sorts of questions. He left me alone when I just wanted to explore; but he was also nearby when I needed to ask him more. We discussed the pros and cons of the many options, and which sort of options would best fit what I was looking for. My only regret (once I bought my hot tub) was that I hadn't tried out a hot tub with water in it (they were all empty/dry). Since I had never before been in a hot tub, I didn't realize that the buoyancy in water would make me feel different in the seat; and I especially didn't realize that the jets would cause me to levitate/float out of the seat. I based my brand selection on the comfort (angles) of the seats, but now that I realize it's *quite different* when water is in there I wonder if I would have chosen the same one. Purchasing was fine. Some signatures, and a hefty deposit on the credit card (I paid the remainder prior to delivery). They were extremely accommodating & communicative for delivery. The process was really seamless and painless. I also received the hot tub pretty quickly!Delivery folks were very respectful, kind, and patient. They patiently waited until it was full, and made sure everything worked properly. They walked me through how to use it (jets, lights, set the filtering times, etc.). And they cleaned up after themselves, leaving nothing behind. Although I was disappointed when I asked him some questions (specifically about the filter, as well as ozone), and he was extremely vague and unhelpful. But later a call to Claudia at the store got me all the info I needed. Overall, I was very happy with the delivery process. Keeping the water clean & clear is a saga in and of itself. I have spent so much time researching online trying to master that. I've found a Taylor test kit to be my best asset.I have come in many times to get water tested. The helpfulness really depends on who is interacting with me. I think the front-of-store employees don't know too much about spa balancing & problems that come with it. But I'm thrilled if the owners are up front, because they're extremely helpful with giving me very precise numbers (test results) as well as clear & confidence-inducing feedback on what chemicals to use to get it back into balance. So that is hit or miss, depending on who is up front when I walk in. I now realize I bought a lot of chemicals I didn't need when it wasn't Dennis testing & giving me feedback.The prices of the chemicals are more than I'd find elsewhere... but I prefer to support this shop, so I buy them here. I do wish I could get the discount on chemicals, but I don't really want to have to show them this *brutally honest because I'm not bribed* review. Overall, I'm quite happy with my purchase, and I do appreciate this shop being here.

Wife and I purchased a S150 Swim Spa for Hot Tubs Plus. The owners Dennis and Claudia were awesome to work with and real patient throughout our purchase. They were knowledgeable and honest with us. Wife wanted it on a certain date and Dennis tried his hardest to get as close as he could to it. We understood it was not easy especially when we didn't have a place ready for it but once we got that electricity and concrete, it was all better from there. These guys are nice and genuine folks, even the gal working the front desk was helpful when I needed my spa water tested after a week or so. Very cool people, thank you guys and look forward to continue working with you again.

Disappointment is having your just unpacked Hot Springs tub leak the first day of installation. Further disappointment is when after numerous phone conversations with the manufacturer and finally the area dealer the leak source could not be located despite an onsite service visit.Deep appreciation is having an out of the area Hot Springs dealer willingly drive 200 plus miles to first locate and then remedy the leak. It turned out to be just a loose internal plumbing connection but this took weeks to get remedied after the local dealer failed to find the obvious leak on their initial service visit.Dennis, Cody and crew at Hot Tubs Plus exemplify the very best of a family owned and operated business-- they care about their customers. Without Hot Tubs Plus intervening on my behalf I would not today be enjoying the spa for the benefits it provides.I unequivocally endorse Hot Tubs Plus and should you need them, they will efficiently and reliably solve your problem. Equally appreciated was the field time spent in going through the spa and explaining all of the functions including the Salt System which can be challenging without proper guidance.
