Came here for dinner on a Tuesday and not too crowded. Got the sizzling rice soup, orange chicken, and mapo tofu. The soup had a nice mild flavor. The orange chicken was good, though my bf said it used to have a stronger orange flavor on previous visits. The mapo tofu was a little bland but the black beans were a nice addition. Service was brusque, but I think it depends which server you get. The ambiance was nice with Chinese decor. Prices were reasonable. Small attached parking lot.

I've been coming to this restaurant since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, and at 51 years old now, it's safe to say I've seen it go through a few changes. The food has always been good, barring a few interruptions--probably due to chef changes over the years. One thing that's always stood out, though, is the generous portions. We always order family style, usually going with the Mandarin Dinner B. Five orders have always been more than enough to feed our group with plenty of leftovers to take home. However, on our last visit, there was nothing left to take home. It felt like the portions had noticeably shrunk. I'm hoping this was just a one-time thing and not a new trend. I get that the cost of doing business is rising--food is more expensive, and inflation hits hard. But I'd much rather see the prices go up a bit and keep the portion sizes the same. The food was still good, but it just wasn't enough this time. The restaurant itself was clean, as usual, but the Lazy Susan could use a good scrubbing--it felt a bit sticky. The servers were friendly and happy to see us, which is always a plus.If anyone else has had a similar experience, I'd love to hear about it. Here's hoping this was just a fluke, and things will be back to normal next time.

One of Hanford' oldest Chinese restaurants, (maybe now THE oldest). HKCS is a landmark in the town and a part of Hanford's small but I believe fantastic China Town. I hope it remains here for a long time and more people support it as opportunities arise. HKCS is an outstanding Chinese restaurant and represents Chinese cuisine well to the people of Hanford. I can't say what my favorites are there because I order differently almost every time I dine there. The food is always very good, and the service is fast and courteous. The decor is pretty much basic Chinese and lends authenticity to the meal.Visit Hong Kong Chop Suey and try a few of their excellent dishes.

I'm pretty sure disappointed with the food we received today. I've ordered from here many times over the past few years and it was very good. The fried rice was basically rice. It tasted like it was leftover from another day. Bbq pork was so dry and the walnut shrimp was good but the walnuts were cooked in old fryer grease . Last time for us.

Good food, I love their special chop suey. Happen to think they have the best chicken salad with hot oil, and potstickers. Quick service for done in or take out!!!!

Ordered delivery last night. Two orders of orange chicken, one order of pork fried rice. One chicken noodle soup, and one appetizer plate that consisted of egg rolls, chicken wings and fried shrimp. The orange chicken was the only thing that was decent. The pork fried rice was yellow, overcooked, and just tasted old like it was in the back of a fridge without a lid on it. So gross. It Had 4 thin strips of ham that looked like jerky. No veggies in it at all. The fried shrimp tasted like it was 100% chicken. The chicken noodle soup was literally a giant ball of cartilage with a few pieces of chicken on it. One small broccoli floret, four shreds of carrot. 1/4 onion and spaghetti noodles with water. Not broth. Just straight water. So gross.

Would give 0 stars if I could!!! My parents went here today and the pork was spoiled and chicken was raw. She told the owner she said aww I'm sorry and my mom told her you don't care who eats your food do you. She just ignored her and moved on. She didn't try to remake it or give my mom her money back. While they were there an older gentleman even stopped by to complain about his raw food.

We make a trip to Hanford when we are wanting a Chinese dinner. We have never been disappointed except when they were closed on their usual day and we went elsewhere. Their portions are plentiful and their service is great.

Ordered takeout for family on Christmas Eve, my usual Chinese food was closed. Will not go back. I paid a lot of money and threw a lot out. Hard to find the meat and was visually unappealing. Very disappointing.
