Hilton Garden Inn Bakersfield

The facility was nice. Room /bathroom and bed were clean.Lots of homeless people about. People smoking weed in gated patio at 9am in the morning. Someone gained access to a card with our room key and tried to break into our room at 1am in the morning. Luckily we used the security latch. The person actually reached in and tried to undo the latch. I yelled at them to identify themselves and they said their name was " Laura." I told them to leave and locked the deadbolt to disable the electronic key access and they still attempted to gain access to the room until I cussed them out. Not sure what that was all about but we called the front desk immediately and security brought reprogrammed keys and said they would "investigate" the situation. They didn't try to compensate us for the lack of sleep we got that night. We won't be back.

They need to maintain their hotel. Especially for the price you pay! The curtain in the room has a stinch. Do the cleaning people not smell that? The baseboards are peeling the tub is rusted in areas and the counter Kleenex box had a pound of dust sitting on it. Which means that your cleaners did not do a good job of cleaning! Perhaps get a quality assurance person in there to manage your maintenance people and your Janitorial's staff. I keep giving Hilton a shot and they continue to disappoint me. 1 star for the front desk clerk who checked us in. Friendly enough I suppose.

Stayed for only one day passing by to return home in Orange County and we all had a wonderful time. The vendor renovated not too long ago so everything looked fresh and new. The lobby had a fire place with many coaches, which was pretty cool.The front desk staff had an excellent customer service asking how my trip was going as soon as he found out that I wasn't from the area. He also made sure that we were taking advantage of all the awesome facilities they have.It was very convenient that they had not only a closet with hangers but also drawers in the same area. Also, the microwave and Keurig coffee maker made our lives so much easy. They don't have a complimentary breakfast but they do provide breakfast with a fee, which was a nice spread. With a small convenient store with several drinks, snacks, ice creams, toiletries, etc. next to the front desk, you don't have to go to any stores outside the inn.Another great thing about this place is that they have an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. Also, their gym is impressive so you should check it out. There are many other lodging vendors around but I picked here because it was tucked inside a little bit so it was quieter. Still you can access to popular restaurants, shopping centers, etc. around within walking distance.

Location is nice and front desk staff is nice. Right off of the free way. There is a Starbucks and Supercharger.I got 3 hours of sleep from staying here.People are having parties and slamming their doors all through the night then at 8am, the cleaners talk full volume in the hallway. There's no way I could sleep through someone laughing out loud. Thin windows too, I was on the 4th floor and I can still hear people talking in the parking lot.Breakfast? Not even breakfast. Some bread, yogurt, and fruits. Not worth $17.I probably would've slept better in my car.

Nice quiet Hilton Garden Inn located in Bakersfield. The gym and several areas of the hotel have been updated. Walking distance to many restaurants. Clean, and comfortable, with a very nice staff.

My family and I needed to choose a hotel in a hurry. I have stayed at another Hilton Garden Inn before and decided to choose this one in Bakersfield for our visit. Best decision and no regrets. We felt very welcomed by the entire staff. From the employees at the front desk to the employees at the dining area, Melissa and Robert. The holiday decor in the lobby was very inviting too. We had a very pleasant stay with our room which we really liked the modern look to it. There was also a coffee maker and mini-refrigerator in the room. I highly recommend Hilton Garden Inn!

Clean, updated modern and minimalist. The rooms were nice and cold on a hot day. They have a mini fridge and keurig coffee in the rooms. The conditioner bottle didn't work for me but husband got it working. They have a complimentary coffee bar in the morning in the front entrance. Full breakfast available for an extra charge.

So for me when I read a review what I really want to know is if the person writing the review will actually go back and do business at this particular location again. Really that's all that matters right? It's either yes I can't wait to come back or no this place is not for me so what's my answer? Unfortunately the answer is no, if I was traveling back through Bakersfield I would not stop here at this particular hotel.It's not a horrible hotel it's just not a great hotel. I've been to over 2500 Hilton properties and this would rank in the bottom 50. The rooms haven't been remodeled in a long time, the showers are worn out and the place is just kind of old and a little dirty. The service was good however, I didn't get offered a bottle of water as a diamond member, it was very difficult to park and the room I requested was not available for some type of plumbing problems so I ended up in a Room didn't want. It's not the worst hotel in the world but it's just not one of the better Hilton properties.

Here's I had an amazing experience at this establishment! Devin at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. He shared some of his travel experiences, which made for great conversation, and he highly recommended that I dine in--I'm so glad I did!The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations. The chef even took the time to come out and check on my meal, offering a perfect drink pairing suggestion that elevated the experience even more.The bartender was another highlight--friendly, fun, and incredibly talented at crafting amazing drinks.This place truly stands out for its warm hospitality and fantastic dining experience. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Bakersfield!
