Hillstone Inn Tulare, Ascend Hotel Collection

Meh.Bed was too soft. The AC causes some odor in the room. Smelled like mold. Was here for 3 nights. Decently safe. Close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. They had decent reviews, but thought it was meh. Felt a lil dirty. Bed was a lil sunken in. Wouldn't stay here again. Would spend a lil more next time. Breakfast was ok. Decent variety, but taste wasn't great.

GROSS GROSS GROSS!!! Went to get in bed... pulled back the sheets and there was BLOOD on the sheet and comforter! Upon notifying management they didn't end up changing the sheets until the next morning because there was no one available at night to do house keeping. When checking out I asked for a refund for the one night since I wasn't able to sleep in my bed that I paid for but they stated "no refund due to housekeeping seeing tampons in the trash they determined that it was my fresh blood on the sheets". I DIDN'T EVEN GET IN THE BED! Such a disgusting situation and very disappointed in the customer service at the hotel. I will be calling first thing Monday morning to speak to the manager.

Great staff, clean and free brunch breakfast in the morning, the middle place between Sacramento and LA.

Clean rooms, great breakfast and nice staff are just a few reasons to stay here. Other reasons like lots of parking, great value amd price for room, and it's near a lot of restaurants and big shopping center. It's also near by the freeway so easy easy access to and from. We are very happy with our stay and definitely will stay here again.

Clean rooms, and fantastic service. The Comfort Inn in downtown Visalia was booked, and this was the nearest Choice Hotel that had availability. I didn't mind the extra drive to Tulare with this one... great experience!

I enjoyed the room initially, as it was clean and fresh. However the constant noise from being across from the pool and the people running around in the room above us was horrific. Additionally they tried to charge me "extra" for checking out 24 minutes later than planned, after I paid $20 for extended checkout to 1:00 pm, and even though we ended upbooked another night to extend our stay.

Newly renovated hotel , clean rooms . Great morning breakfast. Kids enjoyed the stay and even jumped in the pool. I think this new flooring , makes the room look good and more higiene rather than the carpet.

Stayed here Wednesday night. Clean rooms lots of parking and helpful front desk.The hotel is just as good as the big name brand hotels.

These unethical horrible people stole $100 from us and refused a refund when we accidentally booked hotel for the wrong day, same day, and never arrived that evening. Love this hotel, my go to when traveling up north, pet friendly and a great breakfast
