I was seated fast on a Sunday morning (before 10am). Friendly hostess and servers. The food is typical diner food, and I admit I've had better, BUT they kept my coffee hot and filled, were super nice to me, and the prices are totally fair, especially in this economy!My big complaint is that they use margarine, and margarine is pretty gross, so I couldn't eat my pre-"buttered" toast. I'd pay more for the option of real butter!

Being hungry in a new to us location, I used Yelp to find Henry's Cafe with its 4.5 rating. So off we went. I called while on the way to ask if there was room in their parking lot for the 40' trailer we were towing. Oh yes they said. Oh no they don't. But I digress.Parking a ways away, we walked in to a nice cheery looking interior. Coffee was offered immediately (it was breakfast time). That was the last immediate activity we encountered. Our order was taken after giving us much more time than we needed. A simple order it was - eggs, bacon, home fries and a biscuit. 20 minutes later the food appeared. I can only assume it had sat under a warming light as everything was only slightly warm. The waitress was pleasant when she appeared, The problem was it didn't happen too often. One refill and then with the check (after I asked her for it). The food was fine other than being not being hot. The rating sure didn't match with our experience.

On my way to Vegas, I needed a caffeine kick to stay alert behind the wheel. I exited off Highway 58 and discovered Henry's Cafe. From the outside, the place looks very unassuming, but once inside, you'll find a spacious dining area that is well-organized and comfortable. I was greeted by the hostess and requested a coffee to go. While she was preparing my coffee, I looked around and noticed that the food being served looked really delicious. Had I not arrived with a full stomach, I would have sat down to order a meal. The coffee was excellent, and I happily got back on the road. However, I made a mental note to stop here next time and try a meal.

Always a crowd-pleaser, this spot consistently delivers delicious food. Despite the hustle and bustle, the servers stay attentive and efficient. Be sure to join their rewards program! Love this lil coffee shop in Tehachapi! Great food and staff! Tried their signature chile better omelette. So bomb! First time I noticed it on the menu and love it. The corned beef hash, chicken fried steak are great go to's. They've never let us down. Always extra to take home. Plenty of parking in lot. Depending on the time you go, there may be a bit of a wait. But well worth it!

The food was delicious and plentiful! I had scrambled, eggs, bacon and hash browns. I also had a decaf coffee which was good. The service is excellent! Everyone was working efficiently and friendly. I especially appreciated seeing the women in the kitchen smiling. The space was also clean and everyone seemed comfortable. In fact, this was a weekday, mid-morning and there was a line out the door. My only concern is that I didn't know anyone used Styrofoam anymore. Unfortunately that was a big turn off for me. I worried about it leaching into my hot coffee and only drank half. So next time I'll bring my own travel ware or eat in house! You want to eat here! It's really delicious!

Interior was clean and had a classic diner feel to it! We had to wait about 30 minutes on a Sunday morning. Service was good!! Food was pretty average at best! I got the southern breakfast and wife got eggs Benedict. Coffee was great, very good coffee! Not the best food though. My breakfast was a little salty and biscuit and gravy was just ok. Wife's food was so bad she didn't eat it!! Great waitress noticed and offered another breakfast, we didn't accept but she was kind enough to remove the charge for us! Every thing was good except the food

Faith was our waitress. She was courteous, and nice. Our corned beef hash, and the "Everything" omelet was delicious. I highly recommend stopping and eating here. If we are ever back in Tehachapi, we'll be back. p.s. Give Faith a raise.
