I like this clinic. Building is a little run down but the staff were so nice today. The doctor listened and spent time with me. Not a quickie! They understood that I know my body and my health and took what I said into account instead of brushing me off like a one night stand... got your insurance money so piss off. When you are moving and run out of your medications, it is nearly impossible in California and Nevada to find someone to renew them. Even Malibu, California refused to refill my medications one time! Therefore, it was very nice that Jessica Roberts gave me a 30 day supply for the rest of my drive down the 395 and then east on I-40. In traveling in nearly every county in the state, you never know in California if good medical care will be in small cities like Ridgecrest or Auburn, or, large cities with their universities, like L.A. and San Francisco! Completely unpredictable!

If you go try not to see Jeff, he is Incredibly rude and unprofessional. The front desk is great and so are the medical assistants, I feel bad for them because I'm sure they apologize for Jeff's behavior all day long. I came in for blood work results and vaccines. Two medical assistants came in to give me my vaccines and I asked what the vaccines were and I told them I would like for the provider to go over my blood test results with me as I would feel more comfortable knowing what vaccines I need based on my results and they were under the impression the provider had already spoken to me so that is not their fault. About 30 minutes later after already waiting for 30 minutes the provider Jeff finally came in and said "so you have questions?" I said I was here for blood test results and he says "yeah I already looked at those"... okay? So would you go over them with me? Is this a joke? So then I try to show him the student requirements I have regarding vaccines for employment at the hospital and I didn't have it printed out, I didn't think I would need it since I brought it in days prior, but I was confused by the information he was giving me so I just wanted some clarification, I go to show him the document on my phone and he rolls his eyes and won't even look at it because "it should be printed out"... 2 and a half hours later I finally have my blood test results and the vaccines I need for employment. I have never had an experience like that with a provider. He made me feel horrible and he has no business working in the medical field if he is this inconvenienced by patients with questions and concerns about what they are putting into their body and just want confirmation that what is recommended matches what is required. I cannot express enough how terrible he was.

Dr. Roberts is great... BUT it's nearly impossible to get the nurse on the phone or to get test results relayed in a timely matter... even after several unreturned calls with messages left. He just needs a better nurse/medical assistant and he could easily have 5 stars!

My husband took the day off with no pay because his job required it, they would not allow him a partial day off. We just recently got Covered California Silver 94 ppo. From everything I have read and checked. Other than copay fees and monthly fees, our plan IS off exchange silver 94 blue shield. Our side does not affect our doctors receiving their negotiated fees from the blue shield.The office woman became rude as soon as she saw the covered California in the corner of our card, blaming my husband for her decision to be discriminatory against covered CC patients. And we should have mentioned it was CC because that is DIFFERENT than Blue shield. It is not different. She just chose to refuse 'poor people' care. That is a her problem, not an us or our insurance problem.If you have covered California, avoid Heatherstone. Their view of poverty is abhorent, which is infuriating because we had an appointment with a family doctor, and we had waited a month to see him. They expected us to pay CASH to see him today. If we have Covered CC then we absolutely cannot afford to pay an inflated cash price so I cut her off as she was about to extor-demand money and told her "Then cancel our appointments if you won't take our blue shield" and left. Heatherstone's office staff chose to cost us a full days wages, and I am not happy.

Called to set up an appointment as a new patient, asked if they took Blue Shield, I was told yes. Work required me to take a full day off since I can't take a few hours off. We get there and they deny our Blue Shield. It's just Blue Shield, there's nothing different than any other Blue Shield. So completely messed us up, cost us money, all because they lied to me.

They had a patient who was waiting who had made an appointment and requested time off but the person on the phone didn't record the appointment. He was very upset. The staff is always doing things like this. It's a bit of a quack shack and has patents sign documents that say they were satisfied with their experience before they even get seen. Which tells me most patients are not.

Jessica Roberts, PA is one of the most knowledgeable, compassionate, thorough, and dedicated providers I've seen. In my profession as an RN, and as a patient, I see many doctors who do not come close to her level of professionalism. Everyone is so friendly, warm, and welcoming... Except for Dr. Lusks nurse. She is rude, never returns calls, has zero bed side manners, never smiles, and always has a foul mood. I have had to call over 10 times in a week, each time leaving a message in great detail, with nothing in response. If I need anything, I just call and make an appointment now because she won't ever give you back results. Even if it's urgent. EVERYONE ELSE, you're wonderful!
