Hazel's Kitchen

I love this place. Their lemonade is so refreshening and their sandwiches are perfect. This is such a nice place for a quick lunch to catch up with friends. I always get the Turkey sandwich with potato salad. The interior is lovely too, since the restaurant is an old house which I love the vintage! The waitresses are always kind and always get me a to-go cup.

One of the gentlemen who is an owner of the restaurant helped me get my husband from the car. He's in a wheelchair into the restaurant when we got there and when we left. The food was good. We liked their potato leek cream soup. There was good, friendly conversations going on people all joined in to sing happy birthday to two ladies whom we did not know the spirit of Christmas was there. Our chicken teriyaki sandwich was good and the desserts are baked by one of the brothers fresh every day. I knew it when I tasted the lemon bars I told my husband this is homemade.

We came to visit Tulare and decided to give this place a try. The veggie sandwich taste just like a cold bagel with veggies and the chicken salad was simple and refreshing. We only saw our waitress with tattoos twice the hole time, very rude. Vibe felt off-putting and unwelcoming and racist. If it wasn't for this classless behavior we would for sure come again but wouldn't recommend or come here again. What can you expect though? You're out in the country.

Came for lunch the other day and was happy with service and food. I would highly recommend this place for girl talk. Really cute and cozy. With great freshly made food.

Great food and quick help. The most impressive part of this restaurant was the atmosphere. What a peaceful and lovely place to eat. The friendly waitresses, Hostess, beauty of the shaded garden, temperature, fan, and music and good food all contributed to this excellent atmosphere.I had the half red pepper chicken sandwich with side of angel hair pasta. $9.99. 7/5 I ended up ordering an additional inside, and wish I had ordered the full sandwich. $12.997/5 The chicken sandwich, which you can choose the bread it goes on, was excellent. The chicken was actually seared very nicely and still moist, and the roasted red peppers were a great addition and not overwhelming with a nice slice of melted cheese. 3/5 The angel hair pasta, was good, but I would suggest a little more flavor. Either with maybe some fresh lemon and fresh thyme or other seasoning. It also tasted very slightly slimy, and this could have been from the pasta sitting out too long. 4/5 I also had the tropical iced tea, it was $2.99 and refills are free. It was nice, but I think I would've liked a little bit more citrus flavor in the tea. 5/5 snickerdoodle cookie $2.00 Fairly priced cookie, and kind of a normal size for a cookie to eat inside and crispy edges. 7/5 Overall, what a wonderful experience. As I mentioned previously, I think the combination of the atmosphere and good food contributed to a great dining experience.

Went to Hazel's for lunch been hearing about the salads and sandwiches so I took my dear ol' Mudder she is a plant expert and is always stopping to smell the roses and everything else that grows in the California sun she loved this place and enjoyed the food I will be back! It doesn't have to be Mother's Day to tell mom you appreciate all she's done for you.

There is no place better I Love this Restaurant I always have the French Dip with Pasta Salad and ice tea with Orange Slice but I have tried almost everything on the menu the Salads are so delicious and the bread is homemade.

Hazel's is a mainstay in Tulare, with great salads and sandwiches in a lovely environment in an old house. Porch seating is great when the weather isn't too hot. The only unfortunate thing is that it's not open for dinner.

I haven't been to Hazel's Kitchen in years, but now that my new job is in the same city, I wanted to have lunch here. And it definitely did not disappoint!!! I used their online ordering system (very easy). I ordered the 1/2 turkey sandwich with Angel hair pasta and it is as delicious as the last time I've had it. I arrived 10 minutes earlier than what the online app said it would be ready, but it was ready early! They also offer curbside pick up. I will definitely be returning.

Went in to try a sandwich and salad. The sandwich was very tasty. I ordered a hot Pastrami on basil focaccia bread. And a side order of potatoe salad. Very good. My wife ordered a Cobb salad and it had plenty of everything to make a good salad. Will definitely go back to try Orth sandwiches.
