Area is clean and staff is friendly. Multiple lanes available. Food isn't the best. I didn't enjoy the pizza that much and was not impressed with their other items.

After arriving here to NAWS China Lake from a long car ride from NAS Fallon. A fellow sailor and I decided to do some night-time bowling later in the evening. Upon looking up the closing times at the Navy Gateway Inn and arriving at the Alley they the close at 5pm on a weeknight! Out of all the bases I've been to in my naval carreer the bowling alley doesn't close til 9pm during the week. So with nothing else to do on base during the evening times the only thing to do was Drink!. I think its very sad for the sailors that are stationed here already with not much to do, that a bowling alley would close to dang early.**Overall I know the bowling prices cannot be beat but for the love of God please keep the doors open til 9pm during the week.

Selection of 3 draft beers, several (about 6) bottle beers, and cheap bowling provides for an excellent night. Came here on a Friday night, which meant that from 8pm - 11pm it was only $8+$2 (shoes) for all you can bowl. My wife and I ordered a draft beer each, served in a standard plastic cup, for a total of $6 before we ordered a pitcher for $10 which provided for about 6 drinks total. We then ordered a basket of the hot wings, which were basically dry chicken wings with a lot of black pepper on them but at the time where delicious. This cost about $6. Lastly we ordered a basket of fries, which was only $2.25, and tasted like a good basket of bowling alley fries. Overall I was very pleased with my experience. For the two of us it was only $20 for shoes and four games of drunk bowling. Great times!
