Guild Thrift Shop

So happy this thrift shop has finally popped up on yelp! The rumors are true it is not the most organized shop. How ever the treasure hunt can be exciting. Tehachapi has very little choices to thrift shops to none. This one is a more of a non-profit or a indie organization. The prices are reasonable and considering this is really out of the middle of nowhere. I have found many carving old knifes to other unique pieces. I found my daughter some funky juvenile clothing. Lots of glasses to lot of books. It really depends what you are looking for.I will bless them a five star all the way home and that is in Orange Co. So take it from a She-she girl that this thrift shop is a real GEM. Consider this one grandma's secret! Every time I visit I so look forward to my treasure hunt. Bring cash and all volunteers are super kind. ps. years ago Tehachapi had a Salvation Army Thrift shop and I dunno what happened to that! But it was a real bummer what it disappeared.p.s.s I have thing for rare spoons

I come in to this thrift shop about once a month. I think I have bought something one time in all the years I have lived in Tehachapi. Lots of kitchen items, books, shoes but I never found something I can't live without. The ladies that run the place are all volunteers and they are all usually nice. It's somewhat organized but not my favorite place to go. It's located on the corner of Green and E. They have a garage in the back that has big items for sale. So make sure to check that out too. Also the proceeds go to our local hospital

We have been to every Thrift Shop in Tehachapi for the past 20 years. We love "antiquing" and looking for the 'perfect' clothing piece. Every shop has something to offer, but we both think that The Guild is the best. The volunteer Ladies are wonderful and the shop is always well-organized. We seem to find something perfect every time we go. Can't recommend them highly enough!

I live in Bakersfield, but try to stop in to The Guild every time I'm in town. I probably stop in a dozen times a year and have found some lovely things over the years. Books, dishes, clothing, textiles are the usual finds. The people who work here are volunteers and most are very friendly and helpful.
