Excellent authentic food. Sometimes I find Chinese food to have a bitter taste. Not so at this restaurant. Very smooth and a good variety of menu items to choose from. I will keep returning to this oneVery quiet place with friendly and engaging hosting.

Food was delicious and the workers are lovely. For a random stop on my very long road trip I'm glad I stopped here :) Saturday pool tournament next door as well

I've been eating at this place since I was young before the Yelp days. I can't believe I never have written a review. Came here to get some dinner, but I'm usually here at the bar getting drinks most of the time. I'm quite a regular here. My favorite thing to order here is the lo mein for sure and the egg rolls! Today I got the chicken lo mein and orange chicken! So good!!!! Their drinks are always good too It's always a good time to come here on the weekends to drink and play pool! Karaoke also!!!

I have been eating here since I was young and I remembered when I went to college in SF, I dreamt about the Sunday buffet at the Tea. Unfortunately due to inflation, the owners have stopped that but it hasn't stopped me.I personally really enjoy the bbq pork, lemon chicken, sizzling rice soup (if dining in), the egg flower soup, and the CHICKEN LO MEIN. I cant tell you how many times I have eaten the chicken lo mein (a lot). When I came home on the holidays, getting that chicken lo mein was the main highlight/goal.They seem to be short staffed due to the pandemic so please be nice! They're trying their best and they aren't getting any younger!This family owned restaurant has been around for 30 years now and I thought it was finally time to write a review 10/10 would recommend (but I would 100/10 recommend the chicken lo mein)

I highly recommend for great dining and great service. Lunch, approx 1:30PMExterior and interior are clean and in good repair.Interior is an amazing collection of Chinese redwood and soapstone, some carved, and beautiful screens. The menu was a trifold paper. The waitress appeared instantly, greeted us, and took our drink order. The egg drop soup was scalding hot and flavorful. The Kung Pao Scallops were superior. The bay scallops were perfectly cooked, crisp edges and hot interior. The fruits and vegetables were fresh and hot. The rice in the covered red pot was hot and moist.The waitress was attentive, but not intrusive. Extra points: we were thirsting to death. She kept our water glasses full. I highly recommend.

The Green Tea Garden has been a beloved establishment in our city for decades, standing strong while many others have sadly closed down. It's a reliable place where I can always count on delicious food and welcoming service. When it comes to ordering, my go-to choices are: the paper wrapped chicken, Kung pao beef, cashew chicken, Green Tea Garden chow mien, and the flavorful black mushroom and bamboo shoots. This combination of dishes allows me to enjoy a delightful mix of flavors and textures. Needless to say, I'm already eagerly anticipating my next meal at this wonderful spot.PS If you like art, you have to take a look at their massively impressive woodcut piece it's a gorgeous piece of art.

Great food!! Great service. Visiting friends and they treated me here. The best in California City!

We've been coming here for decades. The food is always made fresh to order. My favorite dishes are the chicken lo mein and the sizzling rice soup. The water here is the best in town, and there are alcoholic beverages available from the bar next door. The prices are fantastic for how much food you get, we often leave with enough leftovers for lunch the next day. The lights are always dim and the music is not too loud, which means it's a good place for those of us that get easily overstimulated. They always take great care of us.

I love that restaurant, they have the best eggplant dish as well as the original lo mein dishes are genius.Plus the cocktails bar is so friendly and the owners are extremely welcoming , generous and friendly.

Whoever the owner is needs to check in on their business. This is a very poor representation of a chinese food restaurant. The quality and portion is low but the cost is high. This is ridiculous. Paid $16 for the smallest portion/poorest quality food i've ever had.
