Everyone was is quite kind and helpful! Staff is great. Doctors are great as well as i admissions is only my first full day here I'm here. I've been sick for a little while and I'm doing detox from alcohol. Last night was crazy which would be when a woman's going into detox and is scared. They try keeping me comforting and meeting all my needs. I do have a couple other health issues going on that I feel there really trying to take care of running lots of blood work some CTS ultrasound and taking care of to try to figure out what else is going on with me and helping me with that I'm gonna pause now going to sleep tomorrow's another day

I spent 5 days at Good Samaritan Detox. I was very anxious about the the whole thing but when I called I spoke with Jessica who was very kind and caring. She made me feel very comfortable over the phone so I came in. I saw Dr. Mendoza and was admitted. Dr. Mendoza was very kind to me as well. He is very knowledgeable and made sure I understood the plan he was putting me on. I have to say that I was expecting to feel very sick from detoxing but Dr. Mendoza managed my symptoms very well. He answered every question I had.The rooms are very nice and homey. I was in a 2 bed room but didn't have a roommate. That's good because I wasn't feeling very sociable. Lol the nurses were very friendly and came to check on me often. They really did a good job on making sure I was comfortable.I met Jessica who is the program manager and took my call initially. She's even more friendly in person. She is very easy to talk to. The other counselor I want to mention is Leslie. She is amazingly. She was also very friendly and easy to talk to.My overall experience was great. Going into this I didn't know what to expect but I'm glad I did it. I hope this encourages someone else to pick up the phone and make that first step. Thank you Good Samaritan! You guys saved my life!

Well let's start with the staff ( not all) are just garbage and like to throw tissue boxes at you rather than hand them to you do not recommend they are also liars(not all) there . They will tell you lies to make you think you are going to be on a 14 day hold if you are voluntary and want to leave and the rooms and bathrooms smell like piss definitely not being monitored as far as health department

My husband is a Covid-19 survivor and we owe it all to Dr Singh and Dr Brar and the excellent team at Good Samaritan Hospital. We cannot begin to express our gratitude for the amazing care he received. We are forever grateful for their expertise and dedication. We want to express our sincere appreciation for the employees. Each and every employee was attentive and genuinely caring. He was greeted with professionalism, compassion, smiles, dedication, respect and everyone made his visit as comfortable as they possibly could. We are sincerely grateful and appreciated having such a extraordinary care.

If i could give ZERO stars i would!!!! Maria the radiologist or whatever the heck she is was HORRIBLE to my mother!!! she dismissed her when my mom was in need of assistance. She was rude to her and made mean remarks. My mom went in to get her appendix removed because it almost erupted. And they didn't take care of her the way they should have. The guy that got my mom ready for surgery told her that his hip muscles are his best muscles and she's afraid that he might've done something to her while in surgery. The anesthesiologist looked hung over or on something with bloodshot eyes and white nasty stuff all over his tongue. There's so much more stuff that happened. Do NOT come to this place! DONT!!!

I went here 7 years ago.Maybe some people would consider this a review too old to consider but I'll put it anyway because I believe it matters. I was admitted here when I was 15 into the A ward for adolescents and at the time I really didn't think anything about the fact that every patient, myself included, was getting our blood drawn everyday. Every. Single. Day.I've been to Vista Del Mar before I was sent here and they never required my blood drawn every day.Because of this, me and the other kids could bond and compare the size and color of our arm bruises which, mind you, were all bigger than the size of a smaller size cantaloupe. No smaller than a softball. Not to mention the lack of supervision over who goes into who's room - to make this short, they had to separate the boys and girls in both of the dorms on our floor.

This hospital is the most unprofessional dirtiest place I have ever stepped foot in. Their support staff don't care about patience privacy. The floors are all sticky not cleaned. The nurse some of whom are good but for the most part they don't want to be there and can careless. Their front desk staff assumes you must be there for some one in detox or psych units completely forgetting they have a med serg unit. It would be nice if they would update there website to accurately show their facility

So I posted a review last week about how horrible we were treated by a very rude receptionist. Well we gave it one more shot being it was the only place in Bakersfield that I could find that does detox from alcohol. Our second visit went well until it came time for my son to be discharged and we found out they had given his belongings to someone else not only that they tried to give him someone else's belongingsNow there is someone out there that has my sons debit card credit cards the keys to his house and his car and they know where he lives because his ID was in his wallet tooThey pretty much handed over his entries life to someone elseIt's obvious it wasn't a good person with ethics because they took them knowing they didn't belong to him/her The head of the hospital keeps making promises but has yet to fulfill any of themDon't walk RUN FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

Got transferred here and stayed for 2 days. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I kept telling them every time a nurse came in to check my throat because my throat was hurting so so bad and nobody looked at my throat. 4 days after I was discharged I spiked another fever, and went to my nearest hospital where they told me I had tonsillitis. If good Sam would have just did their job and listened to their patients needs I would have felt 100% better by now. And not to mention that this hospital sent me home with no antibiotics. Worst hospital I've ever been to. 0/5 would not recommend.
