Goldfish Japanese Restaurant

Sushi and sashimi taste very very fresh. I have had some classic rolls like albacore and spicy tuna to the specials like their lollipop roll. The flavors are great. The sushi bar is great and the staff are attentive. I've been to 4 other sushi spots in Palmdale and this is my favorite.

I wanted to share feedback about my recent experience at your restaurant.My calls to order always went unanswered, which required me to come to the restaurant to order in person. And I always notice several issues every time, I see no chances and decided to share my feedback. The staff seemed impatient and inattentive. Horrible customer service. Like today my food was ready but remained unwrapped for a considerable time while staff attended to other tasks and nobody cared to wrap it.Eventually after about a while waiting, I was forced to ask the hostess that my order was ready , just needed to be wrapped. She was counting a lot of money and she wrapped up my food and touched the utensils with unwashed hands immediately after handling a lot of money. So disgusting These concerns--particularly the lack of attention to customer service and basic hygiene--left me disappointed. I believe these are areas that could greatly benefit from additional staff training and practice basic hygiene.

Tasty rolls and nice people. I had one of their special rolls. We sat at the bar- good vibe. Will come back again!

We arrived well before 3pm, but somehow we ended up paying dinner prices. The waitress brought a fork with my food, just me and no one else. When I used chopsticks instead she said "oh so you don't need the fork" as if I asked for it. Beyond the micro aggression, service was just mid. You'd think the food would be good, but it was just ok. I ordered the sushi bento box and it was pretty bland. This place is on par with the other average sushi spots in the area. Nice ambiance, just don't use the restroom.

If I could give 0 I would!!! Wow the service... they are rude here. I am down the street and use to love this place but it has gone down hill! Don't get me wrong the food is good but if you're willing to put up with bad service from the workers there. DISAPPOINTING!

Usually love coming here, their salmon collar, sashimi and rolls are pretty good. We also typically order dinner boxes and a couple rolls but a few things were weird this day. One of our rolls was missing jalapeño and when I asked if it could be remade/added we were told it's just a different chef tonight and they did not remake the roll. Then later we noticed the salmon teriyaki was really salty and had a strange sticky consistency. I was so hungry that I ate about half of it before noticing it tasted funny because the teriyaki sauce masked it a bit and didn't want to send it back at that point but I'm putting these details here in hopes it doesn't happen again. We also were trying to get the attention of the servers and had a hard time despite the restaurant not being as busy as it usually is. Definitely going to be rethinking coming here on a weekday for dinner! We usually only come here on weekend evenings so maybe those are the only days the food is made the way we know and love it from this restaurant. :(

Food was very delicious but we ordered second dishes of unagi it was like not cooked completely. Server forgot what we ordered and brought the check middle of we were eating. Pretty dark restaurant with TV on typical local neighborhood sushi place.

I've been a loyal customer for 5 years, starting with solo sushi at the bar after work as a teacher, staying with them through COVID, and now bringing my expanding family there. Despite recent disappointments, I'll probably still go.However, my last few visits have been subpar, culminating in a poor experience with a waiter (my stepson called him "Edgar" due to his Peso Pluma haircut).Upon receiving my sushi, I noticed the fish was sliced very thin, almost sheer, and the roll was the diameter of a hot dog. This is not typical. When the waiter asked if everything was good, I politely explained that in my 100+ visits, I had never received sushi of this quality. I showed him the paper-thin fish and the small size of the roll."Edgar" smiled and said, "Yeah, chefs are slicing the fish thin." I was surprised he admitted this and walked away without offering any support or solution, just a laugh.I understand the cost of business is rising, but so are the prices. Please don't skimp on the quality that has kept people coming back. Consider coaching "Edgar" on complaint management and solutions. It was a Sunday, a full crowd, with all your usual chefs. So odd!

Food was amazing. Service was great. They get super packed in there so I suggest ordering all your sushi at one time.

I've been a loyal customer since this place opened, but the new management staff is incredibly rude and disrespectful. It's disappointing to hear employees openly talk negatively about customers--especially when they get caught in the act. Not a good look.
