On our way back from the beach decided to stop and grab some lunch.Friendly employees, hot yummy food at a reasonable cost. I can't wait to go back to shafter so I can have those fries again.

Maybe because we went here with friends (that go here frequently), but the service was excellent! Building has a very small indoor seating area with a few both style tables. There are also outdoor tables. The food was good. Just what you'd expect from this type of place- fried golden delicious not the healthiest, but very tasty! Lots of variety in the menu!

Order a crispy chicken salad , you know what ? Instead just order a head of lettuce & cut all the green parts off , wait till it's all white & chunky (insert vomit emoji ). Turn your Open light off at 9:30 on a Saturday night & then don't answer your phone after I call 4x to rectify the order . It's cool I'll just write a review.

Needed a quick bite while working Shafter the other day and saw General's so I decided to drop in. It's your typical high school type fast food place with burgers, fries and assorted stuff like chicken strips. The food is really reasonably priced, cheaper than a lot of other places. Staff is very friendly and the food came out quick with no old oil taste or anything unpleasant. Fries were hot and crispy, good ranch and good fried burritos.Can't ask for much more; quick, cheap, tasty.

I absolutely love generals for quick bite. There is nothing healthy here, but the food is amazing. Had the chili cheese fries today. It is super tasty and portion size is large. Cost was 5.00. If your looking for occasional guilty pleasure, this is a must if you're in Shafter.

Wasco Location Super clean! Love that it's so much closer to home. The staff is super fast and clean with their service. The chili cheese fries are to die for!

I don't even go to this place anymore. Once management has left for the day, the employees slack off and are incompetent, rude with no respect or work ethic. The food is not good at all, it's overcooked. It's run by teenagers who clearly don't know what they're doing or don't care. It's time the owner cleans out the staff and hires people who actually care about the success of a business. When the business succeeds, it shows in the employee morale

Barbecue beef was dry, overcooked, fries were delicious. Disappointed but friends urging us to try again with a burger.

Burgers are fire! They are so Fresh and juicy. I drive from Bakersfield to Shafter to get burgers from here for my family when we are craving a fast food burger. There is no competition , these are the best burgers period.

Well, Hells Bells... Another one bits the dust. This place went from delicious to grosses with the mostess... If you like a pound of lard thrown on the grill for your pastrami, big dude wiping down the counters uses the same rag he wipes the top of the lid on the chocolate shake his making for you, if you have gag yet, get ready. It's rolling up on you right about now!
