Gas War

I work right around the corner, Pak and Bryan have known me to come in and get their fresh soda fountain, candies, and the large Red Bulls, and fresh made burritos. (please get these, and ask for the salsa at the counter)I come in every day, not only for their friendly encounters, but for the stocked fridge, they keep their fridge crispy cold.I have always seen their kitchen side, but never ordered. I ordered a burger last week, and it reminds me of an old school Diner. Think Carla's in Oildale, or your old school Pastrami Place. (we all have our favorites)Ordered again today, asked for extra, extra pickles and mustard (do NOT judge me) and extra seasoned fries.....BOY!!! They went above and beyond. The gal is so sweet who takes your order. They close at 1:00PM. BUT they open at 6:00AM for breakfast.

Prices are still fair and it's convenient for me to get gas. However... the last few times have resulted in credit card fraud when I haven't used that card anywhere else in months. One was a brand new card. Today, several pumps were out of order and almost all the credit card readers were broken resulting in having to go inside the store. The folks behind the counter weren't exactly pleasant and made me return to my car for my ID to use my credit card. Huh? ok. Then the guy tried ringing me up with my ID. Seriously, he tried to charge me with my ID and was confused as heck. It was kind of a disaster! They need to really get it together.

By far the BEST Biscuits and Gravy in town. Ask for friend potato's on top. Little pepper and a tad salt and wow .. I could eat this daily. Sorry speedway market .. your not #1 anymore

This store is staffed by people who don't care if you come to spend money or not. At least that is the impression I get. No greeting, no thank you, nothing. The drinks in the cooler are cool, not cold, I cannot imagine drinking beer out of his coolers. There is a grill in the back where they prepare different types of food mostly sandwiches, burgers and burritos. Yet another aspect of this place with the "take it or leave it" style of customer service.They are sporting a B for the Health Dept. inspection. I went online to look at the report. A shock to say the least. This is a dirty place and they had the same violations in Feb this year as they had at the end of 2019.Yes they do not appear to be getting better. Running a dirty kitchen is one thing. But in this time of coronavirus fear, a dirty place is unacceptable to be serving the general public. One of the several deficiencies was/is that there is no hand washing station in the food preparation area. So where do they wash their hands? The restroom?? Maybe...Anyhow if you are the type of person who reads health department inspection reports, check it out. But it is a dirty place.

Not a great place. Staff barely notices you; overpriced everything, even for a gas station; and I'd be pretty wary to use card at pumps or counter. Especially if debit. The back is all dilapidated. Looks like there used to be a grilling, concession styled place but has gone to the roaches. Literally goes from suspect pumps to disheveled mart area to a post-Apocalyptic kitchen that isn't even closed off. I was waiting to see mutants surrounding a glowing, hovering health pack.

Would have recommended this place before today. Had my transaction cancelled one approved to pump gas. Went in, the man said it was weird but would run it inside. Mind you I have not gotten gas yet. The man than charged an addition charge of 40$ and said it declined. Advised I would go elsewhere. Checked my account and sure enough a transaction for 75 and change was pending. Took it back inside to the man who has now identified himself as the owner "Brian" but didnt have a phone number or a last name to contact if there is an issue. This so called owner than yelled at me, mind you my 8 year old is standing with me, telling my he isnt giving me anything and to get out. I would avoid this swarms nest at all cost!

Horrible customer service. Never smiles, never hands me my change, makes me reach for my debit card across the counter. I used to eat lunch there until I noticed that he touches raw meat and then prepares your sandwich without washing hands. Sodas are barely cold.Notorious for ringing up items as "No Sale".
