I love buying gifts in this store. Really cute things at pretty reasonable prices. I usually buy candles that are made by Tehachapi candle company. Also when you buy something as a gift they will put in a gift bag with tissue and ribbon. Makes it a lot easier. Great art work done by local artist. I am not an art person but it all looks good.

I had some of my DIY projects in here. About a week into it, I got really sick for months, I'm still dealing with it almost two years later. My hubs and I were full time business owners. He had to put our products on hold so he could take care of our kids. We were so overwhelmed and confused so we weren't in communication with a lot of people. After about a week, the kicked us out even though we told them what we were dealing with and I had some products in there. It took them 6 weeks to all vote us into the shop. So long that we actually forgot we even applied, we assumed we didn't get in. Somehow it only took 24 hours for all of them to vote us out. They took their sweet time communicating with us but we're so incredibly demanding and impatient as soon as they were ready for us. They knew I was sick, isn't that illegal? Lol. Anyway...if you want to buy a bag of sawdust labeled "man glitter" then this is the shop for you. This older generation of customer service needs to hang it up. Out dated. Old school. They're all retired but they police the store like theyre still in WW1.

One of the coolest places I've been in a long time! I love all the variety from local artists! When I walked in, the guy behind the jewelry counter was super helpful and nice, he mentioned they featured 30 different artists and cycled them out. I saw some stained glass garden art, sun catchers, knitted items, pressed flowers in beautiful picture frames, killer airplanes (made out of wood and other materials), coasters, mugs, jewelry, candles, cutting boards, dream catchers, blankets, dog outfits, purses, and in the back a while gallery of painting (oil, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic), and incredible photography shots both on regular prints and metal prints! I was so mind blown. It's like going to Etsy, but not paying delivery and from tons of local people!Worth the visit! I will be going again soon!

Really love everything they have there but the ladies working were so rude to me. Maybe because I appear younger but I'm unsure the reason otherwise. They were making comments and being strange about me paying with card. Won't be going there when they are again.

Don't let the gift store look of the front of the shop put you off if you're looking for fine art. This place is chock full of artwork that will make you want to take too many things home. It's owned and operated by local artists and the prices aren't crazy. You _can_ have original artwork on your walls!Spoke with two of the artists in the shop on the day we were there. They were so welcoming, and no pressure. A great place to stop while in Tehachapi. See how the landscape inspires the art! Also came away with a recommendation for dining next time we're there, and an invitation to the next Friday night art walk.

I really, really like this place. Stuffed with local Tehachapi artisans' beautiful wares they offer knitted goods, candles (Tehachapi Candle Co.), jewelry, and home decor items. They have a gorgeous back room dedicated to an artist or theme and this time it was filled with some pottery and fine textiles. This is definitely a must-do when in Tehachapi.

The best shopping place in town! Where else can one find handcrafted excellence from more than 30 locals under one roof? Must be doing something right if they've been on the same corner since 1979! Since it is a co-op all the artists take turns covering the schedule to keep the place open 7 days a week other than holidays which is fine by me! The prices are very reasonable and there is a Meet n Greet with guest artists every first Friday of the month with refreshments too! Wow.I understand that the parent company not only gives out 2 scholarships annually but also 100% of their silent auction and raffle funds fulfills the locals elementary schools art supplies! Its a win win all around to shop at this lil gem of a store! Stop in and feel good about spending your money!

When you buy something from an artistYou're buying more than an objectYou're buying hundreds of hours of error and experimentationYou're buying years of frustration and moments of pure jobYou're not buying one thingYou are buying a piece of a heart.a piece of a soul...a small piece of someone's life.
