Half of my Italian Combo Sub!

I got admit it's not the most glamorous spot for lunch or dinner but this is what big corporate wants to get rid of. These are the shops that America is built on and run by good old local folks. Grabbed a 8 inch italian combo sub for this hot summer day and it hit the spot. And guess what bigger, more options than cruddy subway who skimps on their shit. Definitely will be back again!!Update 10/9/17I'm sorry but THEY NEVER open on time. Small menu, simple items but yet the hardest thing to do is show up on time to open.

Ok, this one's a little odd, as the business is both a sub shop and a you-bake pizza place in one. Many people don't seem to know about the sandwiches, which is their loss. The cheesesteak like sandwiches here are great. I'm a fan of the #16 Raging Bull, which has jalapenos, but really any of them are tasty. The price is decent, and the drinks are (thankfully) Pepsi products. Now for the negative. The place itself isn't all that. A couple of plastic tables and chairs to match. Not much in the way of atmosphere, except for that one time that the crazy drunk customer was giving lapdances to customers... That was... Well, it was something... But I would still recommend getting a sandwich here, you can always get it to go and take it home. Where I presume you'll have decor and atmosphere to your liking.

Just had the WORST experience with a food establishment here in Visalia that was unlike anything I have EVER experienced in my life! Called & placed an order for pizza & a sandwich from YOU-BE'S PIZZA over on Walnut, which is also FULL-O-BULL. I was told during my phone order that they were out of beef for a few days, which is weird since the meat sandwiches are half of this business, so we ordered pastrami instead. My adult daughter & son kindly ran over to pick up our order after getting off work & then dropped him & the food back off. After discovering that the FULL-O-BULL sandwich we ordered was missing all together & the pizza was not made correctly, I called back to the store to let them know that the pizza wasn't correct & ask about the missing sandwich. A guy, who said he was the owner, has to be the most rude person I've ever spoken to at a business, EVER! He seriously started yelling so loud my kids could hear him from my phone while sitting across from me. Instead of just apologizing, he was nothing but nasty the whole time, foul language and all. I was so completely appalled at his response, as I never raised my voice or anything to him, so there was simply no justification at all for his behavior. He seriously blamed me for sending my son in to pick it up instead of coming to do it myself (disabled & wasn't moving well that day, not that it should matter)), told me it wasn't his fault that my son didn't request a receipt (I told him he didn't give us a receipt when he was asking if we got charged for the missing sandwich or not) and finally told me to just bring it back with a copy of my bank statement showing the charge since he failed to issue a receipt. I explained that I was unable to return as I am medically unable to drive, and he thought that was ridiculous, too, and made some seriously derogatory comments about me & my son, as well. A reaction that was so out of proportion to the situation that I am kind of dumbfounded. When I asked him to please stop with the language & nasty remarks, as it was completely uncalled for, he says "You shouldn't even be an adult". It was almost humorous the things this guy said because they were so crazy & off the wall! He finally says he's a got a "store packed with waiting customers & I'm the only one working", so I told him I'd figure out a way to get over there, since we had missing food & food we couldn't eat, plus we are already out the money. Had to pay to use Uber just to get over there, but was able to do so within a few minutes (Thanks, Uber!). The place was empty & he had 2 other people behind the counter with him, so honesty also seems to be lacking on his part. Sadly, was just as rude in person, even in front of my young daughter who went along to help me. So just a fair warning, this is definitely NOT a place I'd recommend to anyone & will not return to again. Sad, because this is a place I've been going to since I was a kid that used to be great. It's been quite a while since we've been there, but it's apparently gone way down hill & this new owner obviously has no knowledge at all about customer service, running a business, or just being a kind human being in general, as demonstrated by his behavior yesterday. So many other great places to frequent here in Visalia, so don't waste your time or money here & support an owner who has some serious issues that seem to prevent him from treating customers with kindness & respect. We all make mistakes, businesses included. I was always taught that you just accept responsibility, apologize, and do what you can to make it right. Not sure this kid got that same message. After posting about my experience on Facebook, it turns out that this wasn't an isolated experience and other friends who used to frequent this establishment have quit going due to their experiences with the significant decline in service, quality of the food, and just the physical location itself. Was also told it's very common for them to be out of beef/steak for their subs, which amounts to poor management when it's happening all the time to numerous people. Needless to say, my attempt to get a quick easy dinner for my kids tonight before my son had to go to Drumline practice, on a day when I desperately need to grocery shop but am down sick & with a migraine was an epic fail & instead cost me extra time & money, having to pay for transportation to back to try to get what I ordered & paid for correct. Definitely avoid this place & use Traders or Papa John's if you're wanting take & bake pizza.

This is also You-Be's Take & Bake Pizza. My family & I have been visiting You-Be's for about 20 years and loved it, but I think tonight was probably our last time. The store has been getting steadily worse looking inside, it's now bad enough to make you lose your appetite when picking up your food. There are gouges & old splatters all over the walls, general upkeep seems non existent and the furniture is rickety old cheap plastic. We've had high hopes that this once great business would finally realize that they REALLY need to relocate or do some serious renovation, but no such luck. The shopping center they are in has gotten awful too. Being put on "hold" (phone set on counter) while 2 people screamed at each other this evening when I just wanted to place a takeout order was the final straw. We'll go to Traders or Papa Murphy's for our take n' bake fix from now on!

Good subs, but poorly managed. Call ahead wait fifteen minutes, show up and they haven't even started. May as well walk in and forget phone-ins. They also run out supplies----like bread. My last two attempts they were "out of steak", Huh? A steak sub place out of steak for two days? I don't even bother with them anymore.
