Came to this park for a Dog Vaccine clinic. Park is wide, mini hills, not too busy. The baseball fields were all in use with children. Shady areas near the road. Tons of parking. Husband said bathrooms were not that great. It's public. I understand.

For many years this was the location for my Kindergarten class's annual field trip to have an Easter Egg hunt and spring party, so I was very familiar with this park for over 10 years. Unfortunately, due to severe cutbacks in state funding, all field trips have been cancelled and I hadn't been back for a couple of years until today and it doesn't seem like much has changed in my absence. They have quite a bit of playground equipment for the older kids and a separate smaller area with equipment for the younger ones. There are several covered areas with picnic tables and even built in charcoal grills perfect for summer BBQ's. The picnic shelters can be reserved by contacting NOR Parks & Recreation District at 392-2020. The larger shelter has a capacity of 64, and the smaller has a capacity of 32. The cost is $15 per hour with a minimum 3 hour reservation. You must fill out an application which can be downloaded here http://norfun.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/FR-100-Use-of-Facility-Online-Packet.pdfThere are a lot of old growth shade trees and green grass so it provides a welcome little oasis in the middle of suburbia. There are benches placed in strategic spots along the concrete walkways, too.For the Sporty types there are basketball hoops, a baseball field, and even tennis courts! On Sundays, I've seen a dog training class operating out in the grass. This is a fairly good sized park, at 17.6 acres, but unfortunately I have often seen transients hanging out in the area at night and that's why I only rated it 3 stars.

Great little park to come watch baseball! There is plenty of seats, some of which are mostly in shade and some of which are in sun. They are just metal bleachers though, so if that is rough on your tushy, there is room to set up your own folding chair. The park has nice toys for the kids to play on, and they all seem to enjoy them. There is Plenty of grass with lots of grass and tall mature trees to enjoy a nice picnic at the park. The road noise isn't too terrible, but it's not a quiet park. And most weekend days they have baseball going on, which tends to be pretty loud as well....all of us family yelling and cheering... Lol!! Plenty of parking and Easy access to the freeway to get home to the south side of town.I have not used the restrooms at the park so I can't really comment on that.

There is A LOT of shade even at 1 PM on a summer day. There are three different play structures for all ages of children, including a universal playground that accommodate wheelchairs. Part of the universal structure glides and rocks for motion stimulation for wheel chair bound folks. Several baseball fields and picnic areas and lots and lots of trees. There's also two different parking lots and plenty of space.
