Frosty Drive-In

Sad to report that the carried over "Coleman's" flour tacos do not have the same filling that they used to have. The old filling was thick like a chili and seasoned well.Now the flour tacos are just plain hamburger meat. To top it off, they're only half the size they used to be.The "Coleman's" steak sandwich is now almost $10 just for the sandwich! It isn't even close to what the original tasted like. This place will be out of business soon.They have all of Coleman's old recipes handed down to them in a book. They changed every one of them or got rid of them to cut costs. I know this will be the last time I eat here and I've been eating here for 50+ years.Guaranteed I'm not alone. What's that old saying?If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Despite the name change and shockingly bright paint job, my mind still thinks of this as Colemans so when I got a craving for the steak sandwich, this is where I had to go. Like other reviewers have mentioned there still are some of the original items from the old Colemans menu on this menu, which, I'm sure is appreciated by the people who grew up here. I ordered the steak sandwich combo, and it tasted pretty much like I remembered. It was very filling, it doesn't look like much, not too pretty, but it's a good sandwich especially if you want something a little different than a typical burger. People working at the drive-through window are always very nice and polite and I have not had an issue with any of my orders. You do need to wait a little longer than a typical drive-through, but I never mind. As I mentioned in a previous review I do wish it was easier to get in and out of the parking lot depending on traffic it can be a little tricky because of the location of the entry/exit spots and the timing of the traffic lights. They have a wide variety of foods so if you are feeding a family or group with different wants this would give you a pretty good choice of making everyone happy.

Used to be colemans delight, I don't know why they close all the good places, hoagies heroes, & the original colemans by Porterville high had the best food ever

Another place where you can get a variety of SYSCO products. Doesn't stand out from any of the other independent burger places in town. The menu is comparable to the others and the flavor is also. If you enjoy these types of burgers, and fried foods it will be acceptable.

The food is good. We drove from Visalia because their hamburgers are delicious. Fries are great too. After driving we would have liked to use the restroom to wash up. Their plumbing was broken?! Both restrooms? We won't be back. What else is broken? Do the sinks work? We'll find another burger joint that at least has running water. So sad.

Great food. But when the owner's son works, you wait forever. I miss the girls that worked there until recently. That aside, the food is good and prices are good, too.

If there's one thing to know about me, it's that I love drive-in food. It may all be the same, but it's amazing every time. That being said, when Frosty Drive-in came to Porterville, I was very excited, but it quickly found a place on my one-star-review list. My friend and I tried the chili cheese fries and a cheeseburger. Both items were soggy, a weird temperature, and very flavorless. Not to mention, the three or four items we bought cost us well over $40. Neither of us finished our food, and we definitely went hungry that night. Overall, I've heard very mixed reviews of this restaurant. Maybe we got a bad batch or a bad day, but it's absolutely not worth going back again.

Great food and service the mood was good and fast for a good price to just passing by would definitely try again

I really enjoy this restaurant! Everything is always super fresh and warm. Prices are decent and their ice cream is amazing. Highly recommend to anyone if they want a good fast food burger and some ice cream.
