Front Porch Music

Just got the best deal on sticks that I ever had, great sticks too. This store has a mass of drum parts and some museum level of bass pedals. A full great condition Camco set. a full room of guitars including Dobro's. Banjos, and old keyboards too. they likely have a B3, Etc. I had no idea this place existed easy to find and plenty free parking at the store. Reminds me of the "Pro Drum Shop" in Hollywood. One room is all drums.

Awesome experience every time I have been in. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable with a lifetime of experience. They immediately identified the problem with my guitar and fixed it on the spot in less than 5 minutes. Charged me next to nothing too. Bought a set of strings- they were half off the price on the sticker, which already seemed super low. When I commented on it, they said they don't make any money on it, but they sell a ton of strings. Support local- its easy when the local guy is so great!

I must admit I'm intrigued with this place. And the location works well for me. And...Both times I have come on an "Open" day, the business is closed. Strike One, Saturday: Dust Bowl Days - sign in windowStrike Two, Thursday 11:00-11:15: Running late? Closed for Halloween?

definitely call ahead before bothering to get off the highway and driving into town. this place looks great from the outside! but i can't ever seem to get in with enough time to shop. i've tried five times, and one time they were actually open - it was a saturday afternoon but the guy was in a big hurry to close up. i thought maybe he had a gig and had to get to sound check or something, hence closing at 4:45, but he said nope, it's just time to quit working. i tried again while passing through town- i played at the wonderful Fox theater down the street and was ready for some new strings and maybe a sweet old pedal or maybe that cool amp in the window - but they've been closed all weekend! i still have hopes of seeing more of this place... my 10minutes thus far has been intriguing!

Today we were shopping around for a guitar for my son. Our first stop was Front Porch Music. From the minute we walked in they were very helpful. We did want to shop around a bit so we then went to another music store. We will just say near the mall. No help what so ever. So back to Front Porch Music it was. Thank you for such great customer service. Great experience all the way around. You guys ROCK!

Great people! Called to find out about hours due to Covid-19 and was given a re-opening date. I needed help with re-stringing a Guitelele. The guy I spoke with hadn't heard of this instrument but said he'd research it and was sure he could help me. Called a few weeks later to make sure they'd be open & headed over. In a matter of a few minutes he'd restrung my daughter's guitelele and had it tuned perfectly! On another occasion we came and hung out in the Ukulele room during First Friday. Really cool spot, knowledgeable people and vintage Bakersfield charm. Thank you Front Porch! Will definitely be back!

Took my guitar here to get a string fixed and peg replaced. They were very fast and friendly. Great place and lots of guitars to look at. Think I've spotted my next one!

We had been looking for a guitar, and shopped around town. Ended up purchasing one at Front Porch. They man that helped us was very welcoming and helpful. My problem lays that we paid $215.42, but it went through my bank for $222. Not much difference and I didn't want to hassle it so let it go... but watch the amount they are actually charging you. Not good for business! Would of given higher rating if the would not of over charged me.

What can I say - an old school music store with some cool and unique instruments. They have more than just electric guitars and basses - drums and acoustic guitars as well, plus accessories should you need them. Before going to the nation box store check these guys out. You may find what you're looking for.
