This place continues to be my favorite watering hole while visiting Palmdale. Sherri, the bartender, continues to lead the pack with great service and attitude. The food is still outstanding especially the wings and the steaks. The Manager's Reception can not be beat.

I'm a regular at the hotel and I often hit up the bar for happy hour. The restaurant has bar food for around $5-$15. Good burgers, wings, etc. If you plan on dining in the restaurant rather than the bar it is a whole different scene. The dining area is very upscale for Palmdale and has some great items on the menu. Be ready to spend for the quality food. The steaks are $16-$30 and that doesn't include any sides, they are $5 a piece (yes $5 for a side of asparagus).I used to order steaks at the restaurant but the prices have really shot up over the last year so I'll just stick to the bar food unless I'm in the mood for a fancy evening in the AV.

Stayed at the Embassy and decided to give this another shot based on the personal response I received from the manager on my last post (service/food wasn't impressive at all last month.) Red flag (yet again) walked into an almost empty restaurant, waited (again) over 10 minutes for a menu and to be acknowledged, only 2 tables had people- one table of 2 had finished their dinner, the 2nd table of 3 men had drinks only I believe. About the time I was going to get up and walk out, the waiter asked if he could help me and I asked for a menu. About 5 minutes later received the menu. He was pretty quick about taking the order (about 5 minutes.) This time I ordered the steak street pita with a side salad. I asked for the salad before the dinner, it was basic- ice berg lettuce, a few slices of tomatoes and cucumber. (Not impressed but not horrible- totally edible.) The street pita came about 10 minutes later which was fine, it tasted pretty good- it had a little bit of steak (chicken was probably a better choice- steak was really under seasoned) lettuce, hummus, some type of sauce on top. Not a memorable dinner, but I ate all of it (I think that was due to me being really hungry.) The waiter was nice- but service seems like a major part of the downfall. The server kept disappearing and at this point the restaurant is completely empty... An occasional order would pop up in the kitchen, but def not busy- Literally- only me in the restaurant (insert tumbleweed rolling by...) yah... I'm going out or ordering delivery next time... I would highly recommend you do the same.

Absolutely horrible. We had our work Christmas party here. Only 12 people. They knew about it 2 weeks in advance and yet there was only 1 server and 1 chef. We did a company trade. We gave them a bunch of gift certificates in exchange for the meal. We arrived at 5pm. Didn't get food until 7:00. All of which were wrong and cold. Anything we asked for was forgotten about. The server basically had no idea how to be a server. I was a server for 4 years, she was untrained. All our steaks were improperly cooked. The poor server was the only one working because the entire restaurant was at their Christmas party. We had the manager, Raul, come and talk to us and he was completely unhelpful and he didn't seem to care at all. He was trying to get back to that Christmas party....I've never had such a bad experience at a restaurant and I'm not even exaggerating in the slightest. I felt like I was in a movie. It was horrible!

My husband and I went here for dinner one night to try something different. The food was above average and the waitress was very friendly. We were told that they had a live jazz band on Friday nights, so we decided to check it out. The band was good although the waiters walking in front of them constantly was really distracting. Ordered two virgin drinks that costed us $15. Ouch! Great place to go to get some relaxation.

Eating at 14 was an experience I will never forget. And not it in a good way. We recently had our company Christmas party there. We had a reservation for 12 in their main dining room. When we arrived it was only us and one other table that they needed to tend to. The experience was beyond horrible. The server was uneducated on menu items, very un professional and extremely slow. Two HOURS after we ordered our food, only half of our table had been served. Nearly every plate had come out luke warm. The last two people who still had not yet had their food were told that their plates had been sitting underneath the heat lamp this entire time because she didn't know who had ordered them. We asked for them to be cooked fresh and she came out with the plates re-heated. When we asked for a manager she said nobody was available because they were all upstairs at the Christmas party. We insisted on speaking to someone and a very aggressive Raul showed up at our table. Some people should not be in the business of customer service, Raul is one of them. Very rude and abrasive. We finally worked through the issues with him but that did not improve our waitresses skill set. At one point some of my colleagues had asked for water glasses, she brought them by holding the small tulip glasses with her fingers on the INSIDE rim of the glass. Being in the food industry we were all appalled. I have a very severe nut allergy and let the waitress know to please make me aware of anything that may have traces of nuts. Her response? A jokingly "Oh, don't die on me". Someone else had to speak up and tell her to make the chef aware because she obviously did not understand the severity. Our table was never bussed. We were moving our own salad plates, finalized appetizers, empty glasses etc to the buffet table behind us. It wasn't like we surprised them with a table of 12. We had made our reservation 2 weeks in advance. Raul, the manager, tried to say that they weren't capable of accommodating a party of our size with one chef and one waitress. Why are you not staffed properly when you are fully aware you have a party of this size coming in??The single bartender working the bar that night was the only saving grace of the night. At that was only after the front desk manager, Derek, was made aware of the situation. Without him, I can only imagine where our night would've ended up. Needless to say, we will never be back to eat at this restaurant. Food was mediocre (if you don't mind it only warm), service was something out of a Punk'd show, and catering management was rude. Save your money and your time.

I had to go to the kitchen area to let them know they had a customer. Normally I would go out to a restaurant but since I had a few complimentary drinks at the hotel's reception, that was out. The food was mediocre....it won't win any awards. I was hoping an Embassy Suites would have a better place to eat but not so here.

Where to begin on this travesty of a dinner? My wife and I arrived on a Friday evening at 6:45, to a dining room totally devoid of clientele. After wandering around anxiously in search of a host, we were at last greeted and seated. The lighting was abysmal, with several excessively bright, cool (psych-ward blue) color temperature CFL's casting a hideous wash upon the patron-less dining room...not at all intimate or reassuring. They were out of the Chilean Cabernet and offered us a taste of some grotesque California Cab instead. After the taste, nearly 10 minutes elapsed before the bottle was forthcoming. The nose smacked of dishwater and the finish, well, just plain water. We left the final third of the bottle. The complimentary bottle of fancy Scandinavian glacier water stood in for the foul grape juice and proved a worthy substitute. We ordered the ahi tuna pot stickers for an appetizer, which arrived (three shriveled Trader Joes-like morsels) with a few dabbles of mystery dipping sauce scattered about the dish. The bites were bland, undercooked, and scarcely room temperature, all for the princely sum of $16! The entrees finally arrived after another infuriating wait during which my wife and I lamented our poor choice of dining venues. I ordered some sort of chicken pasta with a side of jalapeno bacon scalloped potatoes, and my wife ordered a salmon fillet. Again, my meal was scarcely room temperature, though swimming in a greasy, oily, sauce, and my wife's salmon was tepid, RAW, and dry. We sent both back to the kitchen for re-heating. Thankfully, the appetizer bread was quite tasty, and the potatoes were more than hot, yet bland and otherwise uninspired. The horrible Paso Cab further increased my anxiety to finish and leave. The food at last returned, warm enough that it may have killed the swarms of bacteria lurking in the nooks and crannies of the diminutive portions. My chicken pasta looked and tasted identical to a nice frozen TV dinner, and my wife's cut of salmon might have sated the appetite of small field mouse. The chef cleverly attempted to disguise the dry texture with a few smudges of mystery sauce, masquerading under that dreadfully familiar moniker--chipotle. Despite the criminally overpriced food, the poor quality of the meals, and disquieting ambiance, the waiter remained both pleasant and professional. This remains my only compliment for the experience. I would suggest not wasting one moment of time in this place. Perhaps the bar food is better, but upon this, I cannot offer comment.
