Fort Independence Travel Plaza

This place has declined horribly over the past 2 years. Cheapest gas in the area and along 395 however the pumps suck, the auto fill lock never works, 2 are out of order which in turn creates a large backup for consumers. Both urinals in the men's bathroom are out of order. Totally Unsat.

This travel center is always clean, stocked and has great employees. Every time I go in I am greeted nicely, I always appreciate that. They have a small area with sweaters, jackets, socks and little tchotchkes. Anywhere you walk in the store it is stocked so nice. If you are needing some coffee they have a small coffee bar so you can make it how you like it. Clean restrooms, outside seating area. You can also take your dog around the corner to the pet area. Great place to stop for gas and bathroom breaks. Sign on the door, hiring cashiers 16$ an hour. If you are in need of a job.

When driving within a pretty desolate Eastern Sierra, I try not to let my gas gauge go below half. Service stations are available, but are often miles apart, and with a fair range of prices. During our recent drive, I knew that California gas prices were higher than those in Nevada, so it became a matter of choosing an OK price, within a host of high numbers. The Fort Independence Travel Plaza was just another gas station, but I was also pleasantly surprised with bathroom cleanliness and offerings withing their mini-mart. Plaza staff were pleasant and professional. And since this Plaza is on Indian land, there's a small casino here, in addition to the relatively low fuel prices.

We stopped here because the gas prices were the best on our way north from the LA area. The bathrooms were amazing - clean, well-stocked. Everyone working here was super nice. Will have to remember this spot on our way up/ down next!

Stopped to refuel before heading home. We were hungry so we bought 2 chorizo burritos. They were excellent and would highly recommend them.

Great stop along the 395! Always the cheapest gas in the valley, pumps are the same brand as Chevron so they're fast, staff is always cordial.

had to stop by this store to grab snowchains. I sent my wife in to get chains because I was having an emergency inside the car so I wasn't able to check them out. My wife asked the clerk if the cars were universal chains for all car. The clerk responded with an unprofessional matter saying they are meant for all cars, trucks, etc. The chains were $200.I went to install them and they were not universal like the rude clerk said. I am went to a different store in town and bought some for cheaper, and labeled correctly. I'd love to get my money back but unfortunately I don't think that will happen.If you can wait for gas and better costumer service, there are a lot of nice local small town places that can serve you much better and cheaper.Safe travels.

The pumps were out of regular gas, but there was a line that was 30+ mins long. The pumps are ridiculously slow. We gave up after 3 gallons of gas, which took 10 minutes to pump.

The guy that was working tonight's shift at 11:30 is a real "JERK" I been coming here for years and seen him maybe twice this being the third time. And every time it's the crap with this clown!! He's not the regular there. But just so board " he has to be harassing the customers! I won't spend money here when he's around!! From what I hear they treat their employees very bad and under paid for sure!!

Nice gas station with eight regular gas pumps and four diesel pumps for big rigs, they have a propane tank outside as well and their convenience store is nice and clean with plenty of treats, and souvenirs available, but save your money don't go to the casino
