Food Village Market

I giving it 3 stars because it is an really old store, it is only known by people that live in that neighbor hood, they have a seafood truck I don't trust a mobile seafood truck but there were a few family's eating.The inside of the store is olds but it has a few veggies and a cold food section. Mostly everything you'll need is there for you just like a foodmax just with higher prices a lot o. Men just sitting in the parking lot

So some of the items didn't seem badly priced, and for the only grocery store within a few miles, there was a fairly good selection of food. I did notice some pretty old bottles of cheap wine. Seriously, a few bottles looked several years old and even a little moldy, with part of the wrappers ripped off. The store has a changed a lot over the years.

The meat department doesn't know how to listen. If I asked for 5 pounds of me ionly want 5 pounds not 5.5 pounds not 6 pounds. Not only that I asked for 0.5 pounds (half a pound) of sour cream and they said they only sell them in bins. I only had enough for half a pound and I had to change my grocery list because of this. I rather go to Vallarta o Superior because they listen to what I ask for there and everything is cheaper.La carniceria no entiende cuando uno le dice 5 libras siempre nos quieren vender 5.5 libras / 6 libras y eso no es lo que uno pide. Tambien queria media libre de crema porque nomas tenia para media libra pero que nomas vende en un bote de libras y tuve que cambiar mi lista de compras. Prefiero ir ala Vallarta o superior porque ahi si me venden lo que quiero y mas barrato.

Very clean and organized. Very good selection and prices are comparable to major convenient stores.

Under new management/owners. It's the only 'grocery' store in the neighborhood. So it's a convenient location if you need something quick, but it is a bit expensive. Although, many of the residents in this little community grocery shop. The new owners have fixed it up a bit. There is a catering truck outside that sells seafood, but it does look a little sketchy, but as Rachel said "there were a few families eating"To the right and the back of the store is the recycling place.

since the store got new owners everything changed. used to shop here often because of the family atmosphere and friendly cashiers and owners, not anymore, went there twice and both times was met with extremely rude employees. live in the neighborhood but now go a couple miles further to shop will never go there, even though they are only two blocks away
