This grocery store is amazing! Prices are always up to date and they try their best to keep them low and convenient. I usually spend my money here when I want something quick when I come home from work or school. Employees are nice and ask to make sure I have everything I need. Cashiers are quick at the lanes so I don't spend a lot of time there either. I will keep coming here as long as they keep doing them

Tried to send this through "company link", but didn't go through. This is a copy and pasted inquiry of what I was trying to send Food 4 Less.I am contacting today because my experience at my choice of grocery store for many years has disappointed me. Date 12-19-2021 at approximately 11:51pm I came in to shop with my wife for a last second chicken recipe inquiry. We finished paying minutes before midnight as we did not spend excess time, respecting employee's customs and schedule. Nevertheless. My disappointment was based on a cashier experience. A employees experience. I was treated very poorly and not with mutual respect. Me, tired as can be and so was wife, experienced the cashier behaving with weak enthusiasm to acknowledge us as customers. I understand the cashier may be tired and down to hopefully what was the last minutes of their shift before closing, but I did not feel welcomed and neither did wife. I paid part cash and part debit card. On prompt screen while using electronic payment (debit card) I was given the option on screen to receive cash back. I then asked the cashier before proceeding how much the max cash back was. Because if it was possible I would have gotten cash back and knew for future reference that Food 4 Less is a reliable and accessible cash back portal. Instead of giving me the answer of procedure when dealing with cash back, the employee proceeded by telling me "I actually cannot give cash back" with no explanation of why at all. I am disappointed because this felt very personal to my wife and I. We were unsure if the refusal to do cash back was because we were under equipped in fashion or if we were not worthy/trustable as customers? I also wonder if it's the "half work" employee's are common to perform during the end of their shift/time of service to customers. Especially with no management available or if the cashier was manager himself. Worst part was whole time I was paying there was such tense demeanor at the register with loss prevention standing so helplessly tense beside the cashier. This made me feel like they had the wrong idea about my wife and I and remained unsure as a customer(s). My final question is, was cash back unable to be provided in the electronic debit card prompt because of timing? Because of personal reasoning? I was not explained the policy when answered back to my question of the cash back limit. (I really wanted to pull $100 out my debit card as technology is not 100% reliable and accepted elsewhere and wanted to use Food 4 Less's cash back portal to fulfill myself as a shopping customer.) And since we are getting a little on the dark side and becoming ghetto in a sense, I watched the cashier "freeze up" before denying my access to the cash back system. I almost feel bad for leaving my shopping cart in an informal manner in the parking lot and within the Food 4 Less store grounds. But, that was my little way of being disrespectful as an eye-for-eye in acting out without explanation and in a personal rather than professional manner. Is there some sort of hold on cash back during the last few minutes of store closing, or was I being treated unprofessionally by store employee(s) who are supposed to keep the store under formal operation?

Worst customer service I have ever experience. The manager on shift at 8pm July 10th 2018 says to me, "I cannot except your out of state I.D. because my cashiers do not know how to tell if they are real." Since she is the manager she should have the skills and capability to help me. I would understand if a regular cashier said that to me. I would have asked for the manager to identify my I.D. but this was the actual manager.... I told her this was inconvenient/unprofessional. That it made me want to return all my items and shop somewhere else. She replied with, "That is fine. I have no problem with you going to another store for your groceries." If you are traveling from out of state and want to purchase anything that requires identification do not go here. It will be a waist of your time and you will not feel appreciated as a customer.
