Flame’s Pizza

I swore I already reviewed this place but Yelp is telling me otherwise. This place has been multiple things but I think Flames is staying for good. Typical pizza place with takeout, delivery and ordering in. They have several seating options inside. It almost reminds you of an older FiveGuys on the Interior, with the stark white. It is very clean. It's another one of Bakersfield 50/50 pizza joints. Half Indian inspired pizza and half American. They basically have two menus because of this. I'd recommend any of their Indian inspired pizzas. They have almost the perfect chewy crust, which I believe American style pizza should have. Their American options are also very good and they don't skimp on the toppings. If you haven't tried the Indian inspired pizzas it is a must try if you are looking for something new. I believe they can go to a hotter level if you're the daring type. I have heard the same family owns another pizza place in town but they might actually be competitors. One of the top choices for pizza in Bakersfield. Top 5 for sure.

Sadly the new owners have turned my favorite pizza place into one I won't be frequenting again. I had no idea the owners had changed but found out pretty quick with my latest order! The potato wedges are now sliced super thin and you get the same size of ranch for the large 20 piece wedges as you do the 10 piece wedges. The previous owners would give a small ranch for the 10 piece wedges, and a large ranch for the 20 piece wedges - as is logical! I ordered a delivery, and upon calling the store about only receiving a small ranch for the 20 piece wedges, I was spoken to very condescendingly, and despite my relating that I have always received a large ranch for the 20 piece wedges, he kept insisting I hadn't - even when I communicated it was the case with the previous owners. A word to the wise - there are A LOT of great pizza places that serve great pizza - even Indian style pizza - and respect the customer at the same time. I will be taking my business and that of the many people I recommended this place to elsewhere. The previous owners were amazing as was their food - as they took that with them, I too will take my business elsewhere.

We recently ordered the girls pizza from here and it was pretty good. I didn't even know this place existed until my husband told me about it. We opted to do curbside since we were in a rush and service was good. It was longer than we anticipated, but we do know that we ordered during lunch rush so it was no big deal.When we visited there were other customers also picking up and doing curbside as well and lots of customers going in and out of the restaurant. This is a good sign that the pizzas are fresh and that the pizzas are good since people are coming. When the lady came to give us our curbside order she was super friendly.I would love to try other options here. I'm not the biggest pizza fan, but my husband and boys love pizza so finding another pizza place is always a plus for us. If you haven't been, it's next door to Blenderz and Bagels. Parking is a little crazy during lunch time, so good luck!

Flames is consistently one of the best pizzas in Bakersfield. Last Saturday we ordered the meat lovers, bbq and combo and all were perfect! The Jojo potatoes add a nice touch, thank you Flames!

This is our second time eating at Flame's pizza and both times have not disappointed. The first time we ordered the specialty pastrami pizza (large) and it was so amazing, the crust is cooked perfectly, not too dense. The price is also pretty good (larges are all $22.99)They have specials, like family bundles and a lunch special, which is nice. We also ordered wedges and a kids pepperoni and all my picky eater kids loved the food as well. The second time I ordered the chicken combination (Indian style). This pizza was also delicious. The garlic cream sauce was so good and again the crust was cooked to perfection. They also have amazing ranch dressing! Everyone that we interacted with both times were extremely nice and helpful. We will be back again and again to try all the different pizzas.

This is my new pizza spot. The pizza is some of the best in town and the prices are extremely fair. I have told multiple people about the pizza and they all have went and agree. I hope they expand their menu because I've tried most all and keep going back to the pastrami. Would love to see new creations.

All jokes aside, this is party pleasing pizza. While visiting my family in Bakersfield, we had a game night in and needed the perfect pizza pairing. Flame's had an easy order online system, only $2 delivery fee, as well as, classic and unique pizza options. For our first time, we did basic bites: a Pepperoni Pizza and a Combination Pizza. I'd love to try the Spicy Paneer or Pastrami Lovers Pizzas next time. They sounded really interesting! I thought the pizza was well-made. The crust was thicker than I expected ~ very spongy and chewy. I would have liked more of a crunch but their style worked with their levels of sauce to cheese to toppings. In fact, I really appreciated how well the toppings were dispersed on the pizza. Whoever made our pizza, ensured that we'd get a bit of every topping in each bite. That's something that does not always happen! So shout out and thank you.Overall, I can see why this has become a new favorite of the town!

Best tasting pizza in town hands down! Cheesy, saucy and fresh! Came here with my cousin on a whim and have been back several times since!
