Firehouse Southwest Station

We went this past Saturday for a birthday party. This place is pretty big inside. Once you walk in, there are a dozen or so tables. On the left side there is the bar which is pretty long. At the end of the Firehouse there were a few pool tables. And through a door on the right is an arcade and bowling. Plus next to the bowling is a door that leads to a place where I guess you can gamble and put bets. I didn't enter that section. Now this birthday was for our 11 year old so my husband and I put in our own order. A server went to where we sat at the bowling section after we went to the bar to order and brought our drinks and food to us.I thought service was great! My drink, the Battalion punch was strong and sweet. Onion rings were crispy and delicious! I loved their ranch. Their cheeseburger sliders were good, not the greatest but good. We're already thinking of having our 11 years old next birthday party here!

Fun! We went here for the first time for a company holiday party in the big room behind the bowling lanes. The food was pretty good (we had steak, salmon, mashed potatoes, and broccoli for dinner, and then later they brought out some pizzas for a snack-- I loved the crispy crust!). There was a decent beer selection, and the bowling was fun. :D It's probably a different experience if you were there just for a regular day, but for the company party, it was great! The staff were nice and super helpful if you needed anything. I hope we go again next year!

Got together with some friends Sunday afternoon for lunch and a little bowling. Making reservations online for bowling was extremely easy. You receive a confirmation by email or cell number. We arrived early for lunch and drinks and were pleased by the size of the portions. Plenty of food to eat for all and everything was hot and tasty. We had plenty to take over to the bowling alley and even home. Now for the service. I'm bummed I didn't get the bartenders name but he was great. Very attentive with the drinks and the food orders. He was not only pulling full duty as the bartender but was also bring out orders to the tables but also clearing off the tables. As busy as he was, I never saw anyone wait for anything. Although the waitresses were busy also, the young lady who took care of us in the bowling area was fantastic! She not only was taking care of any bowling issues, she was on top of taking care of food and drink orders. I want to give a big shout out to the management staff, waiters, waitresses, bartenders and everyone else that has anything to do with Firehouse Southern Station, WELL DONE

Looking for a fun place to hangout, watch a game, shoot some pool, heck, even bowl, Firehouse Restaurant and Bowling might be your place. On Monday nights at 6:30, there's a beginner line dance session in the para-mutual betting room. We stopped by early to have dinner. Monday Night Football was on. Some people were watching the game. Some were playing pool. There's also an eight-lane bowling alley and electronic games for the kids.We had the turkey club with a side of fries. Our servers were excellent. They have several beers on tap and a full bar. The food didn't take long to arrive. It's typical pub fair. There's not much to a turkey club, but this was tasty. Served on white bread. The fries seemed a little spicy. I kinda like that.Even after we ate, the servers checked on us while we danced. This place is fun, especially if you have a big group. There's lots to do and the crew that works there is fun!

Went to watch football with large watch party. Missed 10 mins of beginning of game because they had infomercials playing instead. Also several time during the game, the channel got changed or lost, which is really frustrating, especially when intense game is on. Didn't feel like they gave it as much attention as I was giving it. Only 3 stars for me. I'll find another place to watch without glitching next time!

Customer service was great. They have amazing staff. That gets good rates! Bartender made a nice drink. The food is meh...nothing special. Typical fried bar food. Might be a great location to watch the game, tons of tv's. I appreciate how dark it is inside. Probably won't return.

I went twice in one month to the southwest location for just bowling. Both times were great, and the staff were accommodating/helpful. The pricing is amazing compared to other places in Bakersfield, so that was a huge plus as well. The first time, a guy on shift thanked us kindly for putting the bowling balls away and said to come back again soon--which, we did! The second visit, we arrived 15-20 minutes late, yet the staff adjusted the time so we could still have our full hour! Amazing time and service (A great date spot).

A couple of friends and I are just now leaving with a less than fun experience. We played a couple games of pool, grabbed some mozzarella sticks, BUT when I paid and signed the waiver to ride their mechanical bull, we were ignored for AT LEAST 15 whole minutes. Our waitress assured us that another lady would come to set us up. 10 minutes passed. That lady walked past us and assured she wasn't ignoring us..... And after 7 more minutes of us sitting in the dark while they worked the bar (not even close to a busy night, I gave up and told the waitress we would just leave. It became extra awkward when the waitress had zero clue how to refund my credit card charge, so she had to ask the same lady who ignored us to help her figure it out.My friends were telling me to bring my girlfriend over the whole time we were there, but now I don't think I'll ever bring her near the place.

We paid $5.00 to hear music. We asked to have it turned up. The server said , I'll ASK.We waited at the pool tables eatimg.EACH time we needed something we had to look for a server and the bar staff ignored us.I should not have had to ask twice.Nor get up.We have come in small groups and spend and tip well. We LEFT unsatisfied. A frustrating experience!

This place is so over priced. They charged me 14 dollars for a small fry what a joke. Avoid this place!!!!
