Claude takes excellent care of my beef and the people I send to him. I've had four beef done here now and his cutting quality is excellent. Yields tend to vary a bit by the animals and size so I always hope that we are getting an honest shake, but I haven't had any reason to believe I wasn't. As usual, be specific about what you want and spend the time to talk to Claude or fill out a cutting order and make sure you've made clear how you want your meat cut. There's a lot of options when cutting meat. I've been raising grass fed Angus Beef for 14 years and this place has always left me happy at the end of the day with the cuts and quality we get back from Farmers.

This place ruined my meat. I brought in a duroc pig that i had raised for over six months on apples persimmons and grains. They said it would be done in a week. I called them a week later and they said they would call me when its done. So i waited another two weeks and still no call . I called them and they said it was ready. It was over three weeks before it was done. I got charhed a hundred bucks and received around 60 pounds of meat from a 300 pound pig. They didnt give me all the meat. I have raised many pigs and butchered them myself , so i know i was shorted. The worst part was all the meat has a nasty taste to it. I have never tasted pork like this before. They let it hang for too long. Pigs should only hang for a week , not three weeks. Only beef can hang for that long . I put alot of money and time into all of this , and the meat is no good. I will never go to this place ever again. They lied to me and said it would only take a week. I would have never brought my pig here if i knew it would take longer. I dont feel like i got all my ribs and the meat molds if defrosted and left in the fridge for 5 days. I am very disapointed in this place , and should have never went there after the stories I have heard from other people . Next time i will do it myself or go to woodale market.

Our go to meat market apparently is no longer in business as their telephone has been disconnected.While checking for a new source we stumbled across Farmers Wholesale Meats on Taft highway just past Claw Daddy's Cajun Seafood.I called on the phone and asked if I could order ten pounds of ground chuck. They said they would have it ready in one hour.I did not specify how I wanted it packaged so when I arrived it was in two five pound bags. The owner asked if that was OK and I said yes because we take it home and vacuum seal it in one pound portions. He told me next time when I order remind him and they will have it vacuum sealed in 1 pound packages for us.This is a great place to do business. They even carried the packages they had put in a box to our car. Good old fashion Bakersfield hospitality. The way it used to be.
