I had an amazing experience at this hair salon! Raquel did a fantastic job with my blonde balayage, even though my super long hair made it a nearly 5 hour process. She paid attention to every detail and the end result was stunning. I left feeling so beautiful and confident. I'm already looking forward to my next appointment. Highly recommend this salon and Raquel!

Got my hair cut today at what used to be a busy salon, not only was the place empty but I got a new stylist. This place is one of the best in town and is appropriately expensive. The hair stylist asked me what I might like and I showed her a picture of myself with much shiorter hair and said I wanted like it. She walked me over till the washing station and proceeded to wash my hair without ever touching my scalp. So it started with my hair being dirty, then she cut it to the same length as the photo put a 4 different products in my dirty hair and said I was done. I brought up the photo again and asked her where the layers were and why it didn't frame my face and she said she could cut it again. She brought me back to the washing station, remember my hair is a lot shorter now and still proceeded to rinse some shampoo through my hair without cleaning my scalp.Now the haircut is correct but is too short!!! I don't want to go out in public. My very curly hair is stuck to my head, I look ridiculous .DON'T Let the new stylist who sits closet to the door cut your hair unless you want to hide in a cave til it grows back

Not the best hair cut I've received and definitely not the worst haircut. I have very thick south Asian hair, so it's difficult to work with. My hair looked like like a chain salon cut when I walked out. I didn't feel fabulous, but I felt lighter. With such limited choices in a small town, this place and curl up and dye are the only decent options. The people are friendly who work there and they fixed my moms dye job which faded within 1-2 shampoos for free.

You know how some hair places, you go in and say "I want it bleached white-blonde, I mean WHITE blonde, and also the left side permed and dreadlocked and the right side with an Elder Sign shaved into it"? And then you walk out and they've given you a half-head of golden-blonde highlights? This place is not like that. They will give you exactly the style you ask for, and if it doesn't work out the first time, they'll try again.This isn't to say that the salon is only for people who have insane 80s hair fetishes. It's also good for those who have relatively normal hair but who are looking for hairdressers that actually *listen to what their customers say* rather than choosing from their range of three styles that they learned in hairdresser school in the late nineties. The girls here not only take you seriously, they know what they're doing. Emily especially is like a hairdressing Yoda; you will not go wrong with her.

This salon seems to have it all. Talent, great products and down to earth goodness. Ask for Emily, she is the owner with superb expertise. All the talent at this place is the real deal. Emily Salon, the most refreshing thing that's happened to Ridgecrest! p.s. Their make-up line is their best kept secret.

Emily has been my hair designer for several years. I'm demanding and have ideas and she's right there with me on what I want done. The not so "in" perm is one request with color ideas of mine always welcome. And she also is knowledgable about hair to a molecular level. Music is always good and conversations range from the superficial to "deep thoughts". Emily's is an experience to whichI look forward.

I am completely dissatisfied with my experience at this salon! I went in for the first time yesterday. My stylist was Stephanie. I brought in a picture of what I wanted done to my hair. She looked at it and said it couldn't be done (which she just didn't want to do it) it took my five times just about to keep telling her that is what I wanted. After that she had to go to the back twice to "think about it". How professional. Funny how concerned she was about "how much I wanted to spend" in the beginning. To get my roots touched up (that weren't even bad, and my hair is blonde) would have charged me $150. What a joke! All she did was a half weave even tho she said it was a full. My hair is dark underneath and barely shoulder length. She didn't even fix the color underneath to match what she weaved in thru the top. She cuts my hair and in the process manages to refer to my hair as "soccer mom" more than a few times. Which is most certainly was not. How rude. The look on my face was clearly unhappy.. And she even admitted she couldn't read me, did she try to communicate with me? No. All she did was continue on her way and make excuses or "compliments" about how awesome my hair was going to be even tho I told we I did not like it. Instead of asking me what she could do to fix it she tried to persuade me into thinking it would be "rocker" and "cool" I am beyond upset with my experience at that salon. She also charged me $16 for a brow wax, which she did half assed. I called the salon as soon as I got home to speak with the manager. No one was there so I left a message just simply saying that I was dissatisfied with my cut and color and that they overcharged me. Today I get a call back saying how Stephanie actually "cut me a deal" and "didn't even charge full price" on all the "service she performed" including a couple I didn't even ask for. Instead of saying sorry and trying to make it better she was in complete denial. I even left Stephanie a tip when I was done because I am not rude. Stephanie is a complete joke of a "stylist" and only cares about how much money she can squeeze out of you. I am going to continue to share this experience with everyone. DO NOT GO TO EMILY SALON!!!

Wish I would have found this gem sooner! Ive tried two "others" since moving to town. It reminds me of home... A little urban/downtown/trendy building in the middle of RC!?!?!?! Wowzers. To top it off I found Chrystal... Who is 100 shades of amazing. PERFECT cut perfect style.

Crystal is my hair dresser.. She is amazing! Emily's salon is all about the client. :)

Simply put, Emily is amazing. I have gone to her numerous times now, and every time I leave loving my hair even more. She knows what she's doing, what looks good and what doesn't. Again, she is amazing! I highly recommend Emily Salon
