El Toro loco

I have been coming to Toro Loco for a many years since my family has lived in pumpkin center, I have only encounterd the best service at this Super Market. In just the last few months I've seen tremendous upgrade in so many ways from the fresh fruits and vegetables daily , to the well stocked meat department , to the delicious food you can also order and sit down to enjoy. I can go on and on about how lovely and convenient the store is and all it has, but I'll lastly say the customer service from the employees, to the managers, are incredible & memorable always. One in particular I believe her name was Matilda or something like that :), just always goes beyond measure to help me find everything I need, I mean I walked the store about 10 times (not that big) trying I find popcorn until I reached for her assistance, and she was extremely helpful and sweet, her work ethic is A1. I see a raise in her future Nevertheless, its just a pleasure shopping experience each time I go in. I recommend 100% .Enjoy shopping :)One of the regulars, M:)

I can see why they only have a 1.8 rating. Used to go to this location for their meat, but the last few times it's been super tough to chew, sweet (yes, sweet) and cut really thick. Tried calling six times to see if we could have it sliced thinner before heading out there, but no answer.

Bought a good amount of Ranchera and Diesmillo and drumsticks last weekend. was attracted by their prices especially the ranchera. But when I started cooking the meat I got a bad smell something you don't normally get with fresh cuts as soon as I tasted I knew the reason why the meat was so cheap. It was starting to go bad or had already gone bad. I don't live close enough to the place or would have took it back to them. The store itself is nice clean and has a good variety of things just won't be buying meat there again.

The store itself it's OK to go to for a quick trip but the meat department is a joke. The workers there don't know how to cut meat went there yesterday morning to buy the Ranchera meat because it was on sale. But was disappointed when I opened the bag of meat. Store is decently clean

The meat is always fresh. They always have plenty of ice. The beer is always cold. The cashiers are nice. The prices are great. My only complaint is that the store is always crowded but It's worth going.

Omg, forget every other so called taco place in Bakersfield and the surrounding areas, I just got done eating my takeout order and it was phenomenal, it's a simple place, place your order, go pay the cashier, stand out of the way and shut your mouth until they call you. Amazing tacos, the flavor, the sauces, the quantity, the quality, the packaging with extras (jalapeños, cut cucumbers) is without a challenger in all of Bakersfield. To boot I picked up some avocados, Serranos, and a couple of bottles of habenero sauce to go. This place is the go to place, period..Omg went back today Saturday August 8th, from the outside it looked like the same place, it did also from the inside, but they must have changed cooks or servers because it was like a totally different place from what 2 weeks ago? Amazing, corn tortillas were like stale potato chips, breaking up, couldn't even hold the meat without tearing when you picked them up, also they didn't have the sauce on them like last time which is from their Instagram posts of their tacos, also when packaged there was nothing but limes, no other extras like last time especially sad no seared jalapeños... really bad, really sad...

Walked in for the first time ever and was ignored. The meat guy asked if anyone needed help and my daughter said "yes my mom, you just passed her!?" We then ask him about his boneless chicken that's on sale and he responds that it was a error and it's not on sale. I still purchase it. I walk over to cashier and let her know that his customer service is really bad and all she says is "oh" no "I'm sorry or would you like to talk to manager or anything other then "oh" she then charges me and does not even thank me. This will be the first and LAST time I ever go there again

This store is a bunch of BS. Drove across town to get water that they advertised, got there first thing in the morning, place did alright. Asked were the water was, was told they didn't have any. I asked why they advertised it then, and they said they make the planning weeks out. Ok that's fine I understand. Left without buying anything, waited in my car for 5 min when I saw an employee walking with 5 CASES OF WATER IN HER CART. Loaded them into the trunk and walked back in. I got off, walked back in and asked why they lied about having water bottles and they denied knowing one of there employees just literally walked out with cases to her car. Straight dishonesty. Again.. the place looked ok.. but if they are willing to lie about this situation I HIGHLY DOUBT THEY ARE HONEST OWNERS, and EMPLOYEES. Sorry. No thanks.

Prices at toro loco really good deals. Front cashier guy not to be racist but I'm guessing he was an Indian guy I see him often there he is really rude I've seen him scream at his cashiers and customers as well. His always on his phone. If your the owner you should know that you need to give good customer service or if you can't handle ppl just get out of there and let your employees do there job. I had to put a star but if there was a choose to give this store a zero I would.
