Not a fan. Too dark, they need to fix the roof in some areas and the food was normal. No wow flavor. I love that the mole was not spicy and they have a non-spicy salsa for your chips. Otherwise, the food was like the food I make when I'm lazy and use canned sauces to make it with and it's pretty much just not with much flavor. --- In short; I was not impressed and was hoping for more yummy authentic , either good quality restaurant finger licking good food or traditional homemade from scratch yumminess.

All of these restaurants cook everything in lard including chips. Vegetarians and vegans should not go. Your only option is salad.

For those of you in the Antelope Valley, you are no doubt aware that El Toreo has several locations. I grew up on El Toreo. I started going to the on in Palmdale on 10th and Palmdale Blvd with my parents. When we moved to Quartz Hill we started going to the one on L. I love El Toreo. Easily one of my favorite Mexican restaurants anywhere. I still like to go when I come home for a visit. The staff is always great. I see the same people in there that I have seen for years. They have gotten to know my family (cousins, grandparents, aunts/uncles). It is nice to have a place that is like a second home. Great food. A dark and comfortable atmosphere. Good staff. What more could one want. Find an El Toreo near you and make an evening of it.

This is the place to go for Mexican Food in the desert. Drinks are good and the food is tasty too. They have been around for 25 plus years and are always good. Get the big margarita and tell them you want Pat Kelly special. He is a legend there...or so he says..

First time here, service was extraordinary!!!!!! From the moment we walked through the door, up to the minute we left. Family owned,(family oriented) waiter filled our cups as soon as they were empty. I will definitely b coming back here.

My favorite item on the menu is the Arroz con Pollo. The burritos are also good. Nice place for a date. Just prepare to have the waiter throw himself at your girl. Not sure if this still going on got sick of that rude disrespectful behavior and stopped going there. Good food beautiful restaurant. Rude waiter.

This is top of the line. It has some traditions that it holds onto. #1 is their employees, dedicated, and right to the point- LOYAL. you can rely on them. I've had the pleasure to be there when they first opened business in one place on Sierra Highway. The head waiter Jose, worked enough there to retire, instead he opened his own restaurant, and it's still running. These guys have seen changes nobody could imagine. Their product, their service is unmatchable anywhere. Covid might have hurt them in certain places, and that's gonna trickle down to a community and hurt them the most if El Toreo cuts the ribbon. You'll never find anything anywhere comparable. Their double strawberry margaritas with Cuervo Gold, will be missed terribly if they go. The crew, I'm sure the owner will take care of them, as there was a reason he hired them and kept them though thick and thin. I've dined there hundreds of times, since the 70s.
