El Tesoro Salvadorian Food

This is a lovely little treat of a place! The interior is sunny, cheerful, and neat as a pin. The Salvadoran dishes range from liver and onions, to rich soups, tamales, and seasonal drinks.I had a delicious bowl of Sopa de Pollo and a cheese pupusa. The soup arrived with two gigantic, homemade corn tortillas, a whole grilled chicken leg, a bed of rice, and a delicious rich chicken broth with vegetables and loroco. We also ordered a pupusa de arina de arroz. Everything was delicious! I will definitely be back! please stop off and enjoy this amazing little gem, or Tesoro (treasure!).

Fun restaurant addition to the mountain! I appreciate having another food option that isn't pizza or burgers. The food from El Tesoro was very good, maybe a bit fried/greasy but it's fine to have every now and then. The first time we ordered was interesting.. we couldn't get through on the phone so had to go place the order in person. Came back 20 minutes later to pick up the food. Almost everything was correct - however our order of pastelitos de papa had only 1 with papas (potatoes) and the other two were with carne (meat). Good thing our guests ate meat and nothing went to waste. Flavor was good so we'll be back again, especially for the pupusas and yucca!

Says it's open it was not at noon on a Monday we drove out of our way to try it. Bummer

Delightful pupusas outside in the sunshine! My husband had a cheese & pork papuda, and I had a cheese one with a full lunch plate. Because we were curious, we ordered a loroco one, having never heard of this plant. It was the best one! And we learned a new word!

Finally, a Salvadorian restaurant in FP!This is a family owned, run and staffed by a very nice family.I've been here a couple of times, so now I feel comfortable leaving a review.The good: it's a family owned restaurant!The pupusas here are out of this world...highly recommend them. I've not had a chance to try any other dishes yet, but I'm sure they are just as good.The "needs a little work": the curtido is on the bland and weak side? Needs a little more vinegar to help cut through the richness of the pupusas.They also give you very little curtido, not even enough for one pupusa? So, if you order two pupusas you still get the same amount of curtido. If you want a little more, it will cost you?Anyways, this doesn't take away from how great their pupusas are.

Great authentic Salvadorian food, my family and I really enjoyed the chicken soup and the pupusas revueltas. It's nice that they are open until 8pm as well.

This place is truly a treasure! Great authentic food. I have tried many Salvadorian places, but this place is by far the best! The service is amazing. The owners are super friendly, and very attentive. Very clean as well! Definitely recommend the pupusas and the plántano fritos...chiefs kiss!

Nice place with a local community vibe. I tried the pork and cheese pupusa and it was very tasty! Good sized pupusa, and the owners and staff seemed very friendly. I would definitely stop here again to try more things next time.
