El Tecolote

Hands down my favorite tacos here in Bakersfield! These tacos are made with serious bbq skills. The carne asada is cooked to perfection on the bbq, then chopped up into a fresh homemade corn or flour tortilla. The meat is BBQ'd to perfection! The tacos are loaded with meat that has a smoky bbq flavor. The salsa bar really adds a great variety of acid to go w the smokiness. Service was great! Can't wait to come Back and try new items!

Came by to have some tacos, I ordered two chicken tacos , one asada taco and one hot link taco which was bomb. The hot link was nice and spicy if I didn't know any better I'd say they were bar-s hot links the spicy ones. They now have extra salsas and picado along with chiles toreados which are really good.

Meat is grilled, corn tortillas are handmade. Tacos are good, but the music is too loud. On this occasion the meat was a little over cooked. This establishment could be a solid 5 Star if not for the loud, blaring, obnoxious music Tried out their breakfast--machaca and frijoles puercos. The machaca was moist, but tough; machaca should be drier and tender. It was as if I were chewing gum. The beans were salty. The corn tortillas were good. The order was to go, so they wrapped it up in foil paper--the frijoles spilled out and half of them were smeared on the foil. Please use takeout containers for these meals.

we come probably every other weekend! We love this place as you can tell. The service is great it feels just like we are at grandmas house enjoying some authentic food. The number one thing I order I'm here is the chicharrón! The best in town! And the menudo is great as well. A must try Im Bakersfield

The burritos loncheros are really good, made with shredded beef cheese and beans with the Serrano Chile on the side, perfection. They come four to an order really good and filling.

This place has really good tacos it's a outside vendor behind Mr Clamato. Tacos are made outside in a firewood grill and tortillas are made fresh. Cash only drinks are in a cooler and pretty basic glass bottle. All the toppings are there in table for you to fix them up as you like. I've had the chicken tacos and carne asada meat isn't dry and not over seasoned. This Sinaloa style tacos are my favorite, try the vampiro it's yummy. Also they have flour tortillas haven't tried them but I will next time. FYI cash only.

Great food and great customer service. This is one of my favorite spots in Bakersfield. The Sinaloa taco style they employ here produces delicious food and you'll find great flavor here. Good atmosphere as well. Thank you Asadero El Tecolote.

Best tacos in town! Everything freshly made in-front of you and from scratch ! Great taste, meat is grilled with charcoal! Everything tastes exactly how it looks!

Amazing. I'm so happy to see their asadero tacos served Tuesday through Thursday at the restaurant now. Great platillos sinaloense. Delicious. My favorite, costillas con bistek. The frijol puerco is to die for.
