EL SABOR DE MI COCINA

Two of my coworkers from Lindsay showed me this gem during the lunch hour one day and the food is delicious! I've had their corn tortillas so far, which are really good, and their house salsas (pictured below) are totally delicious, but the salsa verde does pack a punch! I love the decor of the restaurant, and the owners are very nice. This is my new go-to spot when I need a place to eat in Lindsay! I'll post more photos each time I eat here.

Food was simple, mildly seasoned and uninspired. Service was quick and enthusiastic.Simple dining room , nothing flashy. I enjoyed the Sangria soda (which is hard to find)Not much value for the price. Disappointing as I was hoping for something inspired; we got "meh". No inspirado

Great authentic Mexican food.The owner was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. I had the asada Torta, it was tasteful and met all my expectations, I highly recommend ! The restaurant was clean and inviting. Such a great restaurant in this small town.

Very nice family owned restaurant. Owner is super nice and social! The corn tortillas were the freshest ever. The beef stew was super, very tender. The dessert cake was great. The carne asada was tough as leather, I could not even cut it with the dull butter knife provided. We ended up eating it by hand like beef jerky. Definitely overcooked. Maybe better to ask for medium next time.

My brother-in-law moved to Scotland 3 years ago. He is from India and loves spicy food and good authentic Mexican food. I asked all my friends for the best Mexican authentic yummy around around and El Sabor de mi Cocina was highly recommended. Let's put it this way, my brother-in-law is willing to fly back from Scotland just to eat at this place again. As much as I loved the food, the fresh tortillas, the amazing roasted hot chile oil and the fresh horchata...Rafael is the best thing about this place!!! He is so humble, kind, and friendly. He was the cook, the waiter, the dish-washer and the greeter and he never complained. Just like the name implies, he wants people to feel like they're coming into his kitchen and he cooks the way his mother taught him to. There were two guys from Italy at the table next to us and I know they did not leave disappointed either! Not only are we coming back here again, I think we are coming back tomorrow with the rest of the family! PS: Rafael has AMAZING vegetarian options! Just ask him and he'll bring up a whole list of items not on the menu!!

El Sabor de Deliciousness! Came here after reading great reviews and they were 100% accurate. This is a family owned restaurant with lots of love put into every dish. We tried the birria tacos, sopes, and chicken fajitas and everything was fantastic. The chef and his wife are such nice people. You feel like you're sitting down in a family kitchen for an amazing meal. We didn't get to try any dessert because we were too full, but lots of good looking options there. Next time!

This place is Amazing!!! We drove in from Visalia and I'm so glad we did. Everything we tried was excellent. I feel that if a restaurant has good rice and beans then pretty much everything else would be delicious. And I was so right! We got the Molcajete, tacos dorados with chicken and papas, and the Birria soup. The portions are excellent, the food is brought out really hot and everything tastes fresh. The salsas are good too, the green was our favorite. We highly recommend trying it out. We will certainly be back.

Found this place on Yelp with 4.5 stars, so I had to check it out. Got there late and there were just the owner's family, the couple came out of the kitchen to greet with a huge smile. The interior was clean and inviting.Btw, come earlier. They run out of all the soups, would've loved to try their menudo.Once seated, we were served our drinks, chips and salsa. They even dressed up the salsa with fresh diced tomato and cilantro, unlike more places just serve plain. Then came the fajitas and taco. The fajitas smelled amazing! It was a huge portion, I left with stuff and happy.Forgot to mention the cucumber juice. It was very flavorful, a must order.

The food was amazing. I cannot express it in any other way but just saying that the food here had such a home cooked feel to it. Met the cook/owner himself and he was truly so kind. Their salas had so much flavor along with the asada in my tacos. The enchiladas I had, took me by surprised when I saw grilled chicken in it. Truly such a game changer.

Great green chili enchiladas, family atmosphere, Mexican coke! I like refied beans like this. Salsa tangy and tasty, chip hot. Hole in the, get off the highway stop in and say hi to my friends. You won't regret the food here. 5
