What I love about this place is that they have vegetarian and vegan options! I give them a thumbs up for the best authentic veggie burrito I've ever had! Grilled celery, broccoli, onions,Carrots, black beans, rice and avocado wrapped with a spinach tortilla. At times when cutting carbs I ask for the burrito without the tortilla on a plate instead. Oh my goodness so delicious. Also their pupusas I like to order w refried beans only. Love this place! Locally owned. Don't be surprised if you run into the owner and his family as they're part of the friendly welcoming staff.

El Ranchito, is a cute red tablecloth checkered Salvadorian diner located in The Mercado Latino Plaza on Edison Hwy. They have everything from marinated steak, seasoned sautéed shrimp, fried fish to tamales, chicken, fried bananas and my favorite Papusas!I tried the cheese Papusas. It was my first dine at this restaurant and it was delicious. The buttery notes I detected in the Papusas were quite a surprise. I wanted more but I could only eat two! Their Papusas are modestly priced at 2 Papusas for $6 served with cabbage, chips and salsa. The owner, who is a delightful man named Jose created the Papusas fresh, and also made me a Michelada. Now, I am very selective on Michelada's. There is really only one place that I love and trust to make a Michelada authenticate. I have to say he did it! Michelada with a touch of flame flavor, to lemony notes, tamarindo, and clamato served with a premium beer. And here's the surprise... At a small cost of only $5.95! I usually pay $8 at the other restaraunt I love. I give this place a YES! I will definately be back.

This review is solely on customer service over the phone for a carry out order. There was so much noise during the time I called to put in a order, that the person on the other end was totally ignoring what I wanted to order I kept repeating my order and the rude girl would say "yes yes yes" and being very disrespectful as if I was asking for my order to be FREE.I suggest to the owner if he really wants customers back hire competent works with a willingness to satisfy the customer on a simple over the phone order.

My go to spot for my Latin food munchies. Where do I begin the pupusas for starters are to die for!! I have had many other Salvadoran pupusas but nothing compares to El Ranchito. The owner Jose has put his soul into his food and recipes and it shows. There is nothing on the menu I wouldn't recommend. Steak and eggs for breakfast with a pupusa on top is gonna make you scrape your plate for more. Try this place and if you do ask for Carina she will make sure you leave with your tummy full

So, this was out first time eating here. I was told they had fresh handmade tortillas, which they do. First off we can on a Sunday morning. We were greeted by a young lady. We sat inside, but you can sit outside. The girl didn't explain the difference between Salvadoran and Mexican food items, but asked if we wanted Mexican or Salvadoran. Two of us had their Salvadoran Menudo, which we didn't know it was that until I read their sign special. It was ok, not much flavor. Reminded me between a mexican soup dish with lots of veggies, and the menudo, but not Chile flavored. My bowl had about 50% bones from which they cook in for the flavor, and hardly any tripe. It had large pieces of veggies, which you couldn't use your spoon to cut or anything like that. The drinks were pretty expensive, $2 or $2.50 for a regular Pepsi, but just outside you can find the shops with a large 32oz foam cup for the same price. Then it took a long time for our check to come, which it didn't. It wasn't busy either. Oh and the tamales were really bad. They were gooey, rubbery, and not anything like any other tamale. I think they needed to cook them longer to harden the masa. Their handmade tortillas with the carne asada were probably everyone's main thing they liked. Would I come back? Nope, but for me there's better places next to it that are for my taste and so on.
