Our A/C went out this last heat wave here in Bakersfield. I called Econo Air for help. They came out the same day and inspected the 23 yr old unit. Unfortunately the system needed replacement. Econo Air recommended three different units with quotes based on size and price. They were able to do a complete removal and install within a few days. After talking to the installers on installation day, who have been with the company for over twenty years, I felt confident we made an excellent choice on the size of unit and service team. I feel like EconoAir will be around in the future to assist us if we need any service or maintenance. I would definitely do business with EconoAir again based on our experience with the sales and service team.

My husband and I walked into Econo Air and the sales person was horrible. He wouldn't even come beyond the desk that he was sitting behind and made us feel so unwelcome. We just wanted to know the price of a pellet stove. We would've paid cash, but he wouldn't even tell us what our options were. Off the top of his head he said $14,000. I will never go there again. Also, I am a real estate agent in Kern county, and I will never refer anyone to them. Don't get fooled all those advertisements are baloney! If I could give a zero star I would.

Winter's right around the corner, cold weather gets here fast. Last week up at our cabin it got real cold it was time to light our 7 yr old Hearthstone free standing stove. My wife grabbed the remote to fire it up. We heard the 3 beeps and anxiously waited for the warming flame and waited and waited, It never came she tried a few more times. I pulled out the owners manual went through the trouble shooting check list. No luck I had the 2016 sales invoice from Econo Air purchased by our cabins previous owner. I had to call Econo Air. Id struck out trying to get it to light.I made the call and was greeted by a friendly voice I explained my problem and asked if they serviced the Alta Sierra Kern River Valley area and they did. I asked for the next available date it was in November I took it. The kind representative said the owner Gary Flanagan was in his office and would I like to talk to him about my problem. Sure why not, Gary picked up and listened to my issue with my stove. He had the original sales invoice pulled from his company files reviewed my model and features and we went through some of possibilities of it not lighting. Gary even called his most senior serviceman Jim out in the fieldand we spoke with himGary spent at least 15-20 minutes with me. That kind of help is not what most consumers get anymore. I went back up to my cabin the following weekend and you guessed it we got our stove to light. Thanks to all the help from the Econo Air team. I can see why they've been in business over 45 years they know how to treat people they stand behind what they sell. Our air conditioner and other things in our home went out in a chain reaction. My husband and I we're baffled... our circuit breaker lock up and couldn't reset. We call Econo Air and that same day and Jeffre and Alfonzo arrived very friendly and knowledgeable. They knew right away what was happening to our unit and fixed the issues we were having at an affordable price. We were having an issue with our home A/C. Called Econo Air to check it out. They came out and discovered that the current, which was about 15 years old, and was not properly installed, causing condensate pan in ceiling to overflow. Long story short, we had to replace our system. We dealt with Gary Flannagan. From the time of the initial visit, until the system was fully installed was less than 10 days, Everyone we dealt with at Econo Air was friendly and professional. I would highly recommend to anyone needing A//C service.

So I was talked into installing a gas insert to replace my wood burning fireplace. Econo Air installed it and I received a rebate. Thought everything was great. Apparently I paid for them to service my insert but never used it. They contacted me and told me about the service and I elected to have them send a guy since I paid for it. Seemed nice enough. Hugo came by the house today for service (super nice guy) and while he was servicing my insert he advised the reflective glass in the back was cracked. I spoke with Gary (owner) who told me he didn't understand how it broke and it would cost me $400 or more to have it replaced. I asked if he could replace it without charge since it was of no fault of mine that the feature broke. He tried to convince me to leave it as is and it wouldn't pose any problems just the bother of knowing there is a crack. Unbelievable there was zero effort to make it right. If the problem is so rare then show good customer service and repair it. He then tried to imply I broke it and that it may have happened because I never got it serviced. I told him I never used it after I noticed how high my gas bill went up after my first winter with it. Very disappointed and wish I never did business with this place.

Neither fast nor professional. After a service, they couldn't put the fireplace insert back the way THEY installed it, and Paul (the owner) blamed us. Read on for details/timeline.Tue 12/1/20: Our five-year-old insert, installed by Econo Air, stopped working. The technician determined it was a gas valve and got the insert functional $640 later. However, he was unable to put the insert back together the way it was before he arrived. After trying several times, he exclaimed, "I'm a technician, not an installer!" There are now gaps where there were none before.Thu 12/3 1056 -- Spoke with Laura and explained the issue. She seemed sympathetic and said she would discuss the issue with the owner (Gary) and someone would return my call.Friday 12/4 1532; spoke with Laura, who said someone should have got back with me by now (she talked to Gary). She said Gary was out for the day but she would speak with him Saturday 12/5Fri 12/11 1150 -- Spoke with Laura over phone. Said she reminded Gary on 12/5 to call. He was busy with a customer but said she would remind him and stand by with him while he made the call.Tue 12/15 1130 -- Finally spoke with Gary, who immediately blamed everyone but his technician. They said someone might get back with us by the end of the week, so we'll see. We're not asking for the world, we would just like the insert to look the way it looked before the technician took it apart.

Econo Air Annual Heater/Fireplace Insert Service. Not more than 15 minutes ago Econo Air's service technician Adrian completed our annual heater/fireplace insert service. I have to say as always this service experience was exceptional.! Adrian arrived within 10 minutes of the projected (scheduled) time frame. Properly introduced himself, told how he was going to proceed and immediately began to complete the tasks he had laid out for us. He was very professional, polite and respectful. He completed his tasks with speed and quality. Less than 45 minutes and he had completed all his tasks in a very neat and knowledgeable manner. He met with myself and my wife and went over in great detail what tasks he had completed, if there were any issues to be addressed (none existed) prepared our invoice for the annual service, reviewed it with us to ensure we understood each charge, etc. Adrian then bid us a very heart felt goodbye, thanked us for our patience and saying he hoped in would see us in the spring the the summer service. We have to say this was the best service experience we have ever had. I called the Service Dispatcher to let them know how great he was a to put a note on our spring service that we want Adrian back!!!!!!!!!! Frank & Pauline Barnett

Bought a Mendoza fireplace and custom install plus stone work from Econo Air about four years ago. They did an amazing job and the fireplace has worked perfectly. We get so many compliments about our fireplace from guests.The remote gave out this week so we called for a cleaning and checkup. Again, awesome service and work. They replaced the remote (cost about $70) and everything works perfectly again.We highly recommend Econo Air.
