Eagle's Nest Resort

Eagles nest is a nice rv stop. Very nice grounds and the management is fantastic. Close to hwy but there was no noise at all. Wonderful place.

I found this random little camp site on an AAA map while searching for a place to spend Memorial Day 2009.I had never been to Porterville CA much less heard of it.The campsite was clean and pretty inexpensive, about seven dollars a night per adult. This little campsite was pretty awesome. It provide huge amounts of shade for the crazy hot summer days.It has a pool and running showers and toilets. There is a store on the site to buy ice, which you will need. Surprisingly the price of items in the store were comparable to the stores in town.This campsite is not located on the lake but is just a short drive from Success Lake. You do not need to stay on the lake unless you have a boat. Even then I still recommend staying here for the simple shade factor. The weekend we went it was super crowed, however we chose the campsite right by the freeway. Dumb choice some might say, but no one else came to bother our little area. So our group of friends had out own section of the campsite to do with as we pleased. The only draw back to all of Central California, is the BUGS!! I got about fifty bug bites, while others in my group escaped with none. I will most definitely be back to Eagle's Nest in the future.

Today, the manager and I had an "argument" over whether I paid for my last night or not and when I returned with receipts in hand showing I had paid, sh already had wrote up a new ticket that had different dates on it, (when, I don't know) that said I should have been out this morning...puzzling? My receipts showed I had paid but she refused to look at them and then said she "would rather deal with my son because he gets it"...what? He's the one that paid for the night in question! Then she said "FINE LEAVE TOMORROW MORNING AND DON'T COME BACK! The OWNER needs to come check it out, if they care about this place. The manager is always physically moving, like she's on something and so are most of her tenants. Yes tenants...there is only 1 RV spot that is not occupied by someone who is living here full time. Plus a lot of people have pit bulls and it sounds like a dog kennel with 20 dog's. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, drive a little further up hwy 190.

Holy cow....this place is nasty. Looks like the their whole campground was for permanent residents, either tents ot trailers. One good thing about this place was that it had shade, besides that there was nothing here that is worth staying. Trash was laying on the floor everywhere.

Drove through here and decided not to stay. Wasted time driving here and wouldn't get out of the car. Its our guess that many of the campers are full time residents. Yes there is a pool but the whole place looks run down. Don't waste your time with the drive!

What a dump! !!!! Looks like all permanent trailers and it is all trash!! All the trailers are old and every single one of them has mountains of trash outside. It would be a wonderful park if it weren't for the trashy people. The swing set is broken and all the facilities look old and gross. I wouldn't stay here ever !!!!!!

The Owners here are very nice , nice area away from town and close to the lake ..My Kayak loves it

We are a line family, so we travel A LOT! We googled places in Porterville and found this place! WHAT A DUMP! I was not even comfortable walking around to "try" and find a spot big enough for our camper. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place! It looks like the whole place is full of crack/meth heads! Not a very comforting feeling when your husband works 14-16 hour days! If you are looking for a nice place, go to deer creek. The monthly rent is cheaper and its 10million times nicer than this place!

This is the best camping place I've ever been to.people say it's nasty and run down and rude people but what you need to do is get to know all people and you will have a great time.you can let loose no security you can use atv and hunt.best camping place

This is a good and safe place enjoy the outdoors. Isn't that what camping about getting dirty lol. The Loomis lady is a angry person and had to move out so she posted ugly stuff you know how that goes. It's sad someone has to destroy a families business going after the manager. Shame on you lady and yes it needs to be built back up and work will be done soon I heard.
