The service was great, the tacos were a bit cold so I think they would've e been way more yummy if they were warm. 3 tacos for 6.99 is a steal I think. Their chili verde isn't spicy. The jalapeño poppers were spicy and cheesy!!!

I've lived in Bakersfield for three years and have always driven by this place and never tried it until recently. The photos in the reviews look good and so after dropping off a package at a nearby business, I decided to pop in. The place is like your typical Mexican restaurant, with loud music playing and rows of big, wide booths. I was seated right away and the staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. I ordered a shredded beef taco and enchilada. It was from the lunch menu which is no too bad for the price. The drink was extra and I ordered a diet cola. (I can't remember if it was Pepsi or Coca-Cola.)The food took a minute, and my meal started with the usual appetizer of chips and salsa. I was pleasantly surprised that salsa was delicious, it tasted fresh and the salsa was spicy! Then my food came. I was excited to try the cheesy, beefy enchilada and taco. The plate came with the usual Mexican suspects, beans and rice! No surprise there! LOLThe food is okay. I read the reviews after I ate and noticed that most reviews cited that the food quality and taste was going down. Sadly, I agree. It was not great and not horrible. Have I had better...? Yes!The rice was not fresh and was dry and crumbly. The beans were okay. The cheese made up for their lack of flavor and smooth velvety texture that you would expect from freshly refried beans. The taco was okay... the beef was meh, it was just beefy. The taco shell was so soggy and unfortunately, I didn't get to enjoy the crunchy goodness when you eat a fried taco. The shell was not homemade either.Same with the enchilada. The sauce was good, but still the cheese was the star of the enchilada.I did have an amazing experience there, however. I met a couple with I quickly connected with and we became friends because we share the same love of Ecuador!! For this, I am grateful. Don't think I will go back. I really wanted to like this place. I was greeted and seated immediately, and a person came by for a drink order pretty quickly. The food server, on the other hand, was very slow to show up and when she did, she was in a hurry to leave and I had to flag her down a couple of times. Once, to get silverware. The chips were a bit stale and the salsa was pretty spicy. I ordered the Tostada Grande and the waitress had a hard time believing I only wanted beans and no meat. The Tres Viejo Amigos (tequila and orange juice) was very, very strong and I couldn't finish it as I was driving. The restaurant is very large, with a separate bar area. It was mildly busy, so seems like a local place.

I had a 2 hour lunch break, and decided to take the wife to lunch. I had to go to the east side, and I remember this establishment when I was in high school. Decided to see if it was still there. It was!!! So, glad it was. The establishment needs a little update, but the atmosphere was great. The service started off a little slow, but after they took our drink order, the servers were more attentive. I order the Chili Verde tostada salad. So delicious. They are not chinsy on the chili verde. Very delicious. BTW, it was on the lunch special. I will go back to try their lunch buffet next time. Thank you for filling up my stomach for a reasonable price.

Great food, carry out service is a bit blah, but beware of asking for extra chips and salsa on your carry out order. Enchilada Suiza $17.25, Chips and Salsa $22! Absolutely nuts!!

I usually enjoy this place for taco Tuesday better than L Mina. Tacos are usually much tastier and bigger for the price 3 / 6.75. Drinks are reasonable as well. Nevertheless when I took a last bite of my last taco, it tasted nasty and spoiled. Service was slowThey still allow children in bar area therefore it was not good for ambiance.

Love it here !! Sunday brunch is my favorite, exceptional service from Noe & Norma every time. Truly feels like home and they are always consistent with the meals. Cant beat it

Drinks and Service are definitely not up to par unless you order from the bar. Apparently if the waitress get the sixth sense that you are not a tipper she avoids giving you any attention. Not sure how two females at a restaurant signals no tip. Why do I continue to frequent this establishment? It has to be because of the friendly bartenders...

food delicious, service is great. love going to the cantina area. every other Friday me and my co-workers hang out at the bar area and after work and have a good time. there mango blended margarita is my fav.

Went during lunch hour.Buffet food was cold. Do not recommend. Complained to manager, He didn't care and just walked away. Very unprofessional.
